I might have taken that bet if he had lost. Don't see it now... they got no one to replace him at this point.

Clear lack of great and inspiring leadership in this country right now.

I may not have agreed with many of Jack's policies, but at least he galvanized people in a way we have not seen in 20 years. These guys can't hold Jack's jock strap.

If Jack Layton was a liberal, he'd have been PM for over a decade. Fantastic debater/politician. Stuck to his guns even if he was a part of a historically 'fringe' party.

I don't have a problem with a minority government, probably a good thing in the long run.

And until someone shows up with some real leadership, I suspect we will keep getting these more often than not.

exactly.
but more than charismatic leaders, you won't grab power unless you address the environment question, and that the blue party will have to take notes.
as for the NDP, back to normal in Qc after a few years riding the Layton wave. nothing againts Singh, he was probably the most interesting chef of the 3, but you won't win in Qc with that thing on his head. sad but true.
as for the Libs, (frank) them

Good result for the post-Trump world. Seems like the Trudeau hate was enough to sweep any area with majority conservative values, while the liberals won despite lots of hard battles.

Blue party had the best plan for the environment issue. Every other party wanted to spite their nose to save their face. Talk about going green which would cost a fortune but kill the biggest part of our GBP. The blue party wanted to prop up the biggest part of our GDP to pay for infrastructure to go green which is by far the smartest and only logical course of action.

You should speak up against equalization payments. You should request Quebec stop taking the blood money from the west. Quebec recieves more equalization payments from the west than any other province. How do you feel the west cutting Quebec off?

keep telling you that.

if they did, Scheer would be PM at this hour, of a majority gvmt. many people were ready to get ride of Trudeau, but there was no real alternative.

Yeah that's nothing to do with real issues. If you look at the electoral map Trudeau won because he won a few seats in atlantic Canada, all of Toronto and Vancouver. Quebec voted BQ. Trudeau was voted in because Atlantic Canada always vote liberal and the media pushes the fact that conservatives are racist so the two largest immigrant populations voted liberal. Plain and simple. More people in Canada voted conservative than liberal.

Only uninformed idiots actually vote for the party leaders. Any educated person would vote for the parties ideologies on important topics. The figure heads always take their parties stance on every situation. It doesn't matter that Scheer is half American or that Trudeau is a racist.

Na I'll just write my income off. You'll have to beg someone else for your welfare cheque.
