she will have zero power and she is still covered by the parliamentary privilege so she can't speak much about the SNC story.
- Symba007

Can she speak about Lavalin then?

Don't you think her mere presence will piss off the liberals?

It was quite odd to see Singh celebrate losing twenty ridings...

Actually, the Bloc also holds the balance of power. They have worked with the Liberals in the past when Martin was in power. They're not as natural as the NDP when it comes to allies, but Trudeau might need them on some issues...

- QuebecPride

Libs have 157 seats, they need 13 votes for majority, NDP have 24 seats, Libs..if they choose to don't have to work with the Bloc when they don't need to.

They can team up with one party for some things and the other for different things.

I assume that's what they will do, depending who is too greedy. the NDP, Bloc and Green don't have the money to go into another election in the next couple years so they will have to work with the government in power. Should be interesting to see

If they are smart, that is what they would do, rather than form an alliance with 1 party. That way, they can play the parties off each other, give a few concessions here and there, and get most of what they want done.

The fact they can use any of the 3 parties to get stuff passed is pretty much the best case scenario in a minority situation.

Will be interesting to see if they are smart enough to make it happen.

Talk to me Pete.

When is Kenney's term done in Alberta? It has to be him for the next federal election.

Him or MacKay I guess, tough to get those Toronto/Vancouver seats though.

They just don't match to PC values..

The risk, of course, is that the other parties don't want to be played. I don't think they'd ally themselves with the Conservatives, specially not the NDP, but they might go against the Liberals first and foremost if they don't like what they see.

so another election where the bloc, the green and ndp will have no money. Libs are safe for at least 2, probably 3 years IMO

Probably, I think his first order of business is to re-open this SNC scandal.

They've got the numbers to do it.

Meh, election is over. The issue is dead, people won't care in 2-3 years.

You can try to Hillary the (frank) outta this poop, don't think it will stick / matter.

I'd say that's probable, but I also think that if a good opportunity arises earlier they have to jump on it, and try to count on media backlash to make up for a lack of funds.

A fresh case of public outrage towards the Libs (that spills on the Conservatives as well) is probably the best hope the lesser parties have of taking power, even with limited funds.
