The PPC will be VERY lucky if they get one candidate elected IMO - Symba007
Most likely. Still a start. |

I know
Still, finally a true right wing party I can vote for in Canada. If he can bring a couple of ideas and shake the status quo we've been stuck in forever I'll be happy with it. - BashCH
expect a minority liberal government with the balance of power to either the NDP or Bloc Q, that's what the polls show (if they are worth anything this time) |

Nope, I only have one vote and I already exercised my right 10 days ago. Whoever is in power, it will be a poop show, no clear mandate, begging another party to get anything done, this will paralyze the government for months. |

explain to me what it is you guys are voting for. is this like local elections or is this big time stuff or is it both?
i care very little but it will help me follow along with what's sure to be extremely enlightening conversation in this thread. |

I will tell you right now who I won't vote for.
Ben Chiarot.
Mostly because he's a hockey player and not a politician but also because he's so goddamn slow. |

I'd actually love if it ended up something like conservatives 34%, liberals 24%, NDP 20%, PPC 14%, Greens 5%, Bloc 3%. |

Think of it like voting for your house member and then the house members as a total vote on who will lead...sometimes it isn't the person with the most seats but the confidence of most parties. It's a confusing system that our leaders all lie about when convenient (cough Scheer cough) |

Yup, probably another election in a year costing us millions again. What a (frank)ing waste. They should force them to stay for the whole term and actually agree on stuff. |

it's the British system
federal election; you vote for your member of parliament representing your riding, ultimately the prime minister (party who can gain the confidence of the parliament to pass a budget)
338 ridings in Canada representing all parts of the country. |

I just want a good balance of power and less left wing people. The only good thing on the left wing is Alex Ovechkin. |
