Had one rough shift there, but for this team to be a playoff team, they need the Ghost from two years ago.

First, I want to say that I think there is a lot of potential between Giroux, Voracek and JvR as a line. I really like how JvR and Voracek use their bodies to shield the puck and G and Jake were pretty active.

Now to the question, is Konency our sniper? In my opinion, Konency plays a lot like Danny Briere. Outside of just being a small but skilled pesky player, Briere had a balanced offensive game. Danny B could shoot the puck but could set up plays even better. I never thought Briere scored enough to be known as a “sniper” but he was definitely clutch, as Konecny is proving to be.

With this said, in recent years my idea of a sniper in Flyers history were the likes of Simon Gagne and Jeff Carter. Although he hasn’t scored his first NHL goal yet, I think Joel Farabee already has a sniper’s swagger. I wouldn’t be surprised if he scored tonight. Farabee has been active in moving his feet and getting in passing lines in every single game I’ve see him in. He’s always coming down the wing and finding an angle to shoot. His shots are always looking to pick corners but so far has seen the goalie’s shoulder or the opposite post he’s skating down. I think Farabee is destined to score 40 or more before age 28.
