Yes, you do. He is 5 wins and 1 loss.

We are focusing on Allen and not the record.

Allen hasn’t showed improvement at all

Yes, he has. Because he is not a HOFer yet does not mean he has not improved.

I was disappointed that he missed on the deep throw to Roberts, but “the quarterback who can’t do it “ threw two tds with nothing close to an INT, completed 61.5% of passes with 3 or 4 drops and led another 4th quarter comeback. His rating was 112 and. He may have the highest 4th quarter rating of any qb in the nfl = clutch. I remember not so long ago when Tyrod was the QB, we were down by less than a score in the 4th, and I knew we were going to lose.

Did you even watch the game or are you just sabretoothless’s baby brother just spitting out obsessive compulsive utter garbage?

He was the definition of a game manager today....against the worst team in the league mnid you.

Aslo, all teams have WR drop balls, that should never be in the equation as an excuse.

Why not when it kills drives, that's kinda stupid, can't blame that on Allen, especially if it's a 3rd down.

If you have the Athletic, I'd suggest digging into the numerous Allen specific articles. Because if you're going by guys like Joe Buscaglia, Matt Fairburn and Erik Turner, their analysis contradicts your opinion.

Nice Taco, I really don't get it, does the kid have stuff he needs to work on, sure, but to say he hasn't shown any improvement is just ridiculous

No one says he's some elite qb today. But I don't think you can ever factually say he has not improved his game. It leaves some to be desired, sure, but the hero ball poop, decision making, reading defense and the accuracy has both improved greatly.

17 games into his nfl career, allen looks like the buffalo Bill's qb answer after 20 years.

Do the haters want to draft another qb or just bash allen?

I like that Allen seemingly hasn't peaked. He still has a ways to go, and gets the W when it matters.

I don't care about covering point spreads. I feel like if the Bills weren't favored by 17, it wouldn't have been an issue. The betting line skewed this game big time.

The only unacceptable aspect of yesterday would have been a loss. That didn't happen. It's time to focus on a faltering Philly team.

They will likely come out angry. We need to follow the Dallas model*.

Exactly, is he a Franchise Quarterback yet, No, we all hope he turns into one, he has what 16 starts so far, he has things he needs to work on, but to say he hasn't improved is ridiculous

His ability to hit the intermediate routes, or the swing pass to McKenzie are two areas I would look to right away.

He's finding the safety valves. His receivers and tight ends have some key drops. Josh still leaves plays on the field, but at the end of the day he is winning games.

Yesterday, the defense wasn't at their best and we got the W. Whenever we get a full fledged offense and Milano is back, look the eff out.

I am still confused on some of Daboll's game planning. Sometimes it seems like he forgets that he has a young QB, seems to forget about the running game, gets to pass happy, when he should be pounding the ball.

I would not call the John Brown TD throw or the touch throw on the same drive from a crowded pocket to Duke Williams safety valve throws.

Brian Daboll is the best 4th quarter OC we've ever had.

Like Josh, the guy can't put together a complete game. But the talent is there.

I'm also not saying every throw he makes is a dump off.

He isn't playing hero ball, or whatever, on every play. If the play is there, he goes for it. If it isn't, he finds the outlet.

I would not be shocked if Daboll gets looked at for a head coaching spot, if the team keeps playing this way.

I would venture a guess that they were trying to attack the weak secondary that Miami has being that they mentioned a few times on the broadcast that they had quite a few injuries to that part of the defense.

I didn't see the game yesterday, so I won't female dog.

Here's a thought or two...
- Article from The Athletic this morning listed 9 QBs who had a subpar day. Absent from the list was Allen.
-There were several mentioned the the article with the commentary about a meltdown of various degrees for QB play in the 4th Qtr....couldn't pull a victory out of the jaws of defeat. At least Allen has shown an ability to "go" when it is "go time".
-Daboll's play calling seems to swing from questionable to brilliant. Generally, I think he is on the positive side of the ledger though. A bit perplexing that he is holding Singletary in reserve.
- All teams have receivers who drop the ball/ miss a catch...so while leaning on that as a primary reason to defend a QB's efficiency metrics seems like reaching, it is perfectly valid IMO to include in a discussion when debating the impact on the score. I.e. down 14-6 against a bad team.

I agree for the most part. What was frustrating to me about this yesterday in particular was that our guys were dropping passes that were right on the money with no coverage (the Knox one in the Red Zone was SO BAD) and the Miami guys were making crazy catches with our guys all over them.

But like you said, it happens to every team, every game. They figured out a way to win, which at the end of the day is all that matters.
