Queenville? Is that where Freddie Mercury resides in the Great Beyond?

The Flyers have played 6 games so far and people on here are reacting as if the season is already over. They are going to be a solid team, you can tell the effort is there. If they keep playing the way they're playing they are going to win a fair amount of games this season. Also no way Giroux and JVR are going to be this snake bitten all season , they're both going to breakout soon as they've been creating a lot of chances.

1) Provorov was 1-on-2 in the corner with Benn and Perry. How was it "entirely on him"?

2) Niskanen, who also has mostly played well this season, was the one who got toasted by Hintz, as the play started to turn dangerous.

3) How many other shifts Provorov skate? 25. How many were solid ones? Most.

someone needs to say it - Carter Hart is playing mediocrely and apparently is not the messiah

I guess you weren't in the building to hear how loud it got. It gave energy and ever since that fight the flyers only gave up a couple shots, only issue is hart let in a week backhander. You are nuts to say "well they didnt win after the fight so it was pointless" totally wrong and laughable. Bishop was the difference in the game.

No place for that approach
Just complain about it all.

Season is over six games in because they lose the cap cup.

Hextall should be here still drafting for the mythical window that never seemed to get closer but hey you had to ignore his first three years here because everyone prior sucked.

Fletch is an idiot and while Hexy got years to try and lead the team to a playoff victory, Fletch gets ten games max.

Stewart is the reason the season is over.

Amazing? Two inconsequential players fight on a face off. A defenseman and a winger no less. They weren’t even near each other on the face off. Maybe if it was a fight after a big hit or a scrum in front of the net, but that was hardly inspirational.
- Dkos

The energy was in the building whether you want to admit it or not after the fight happened. That was the whole purpose stewart fought the 6'7 giant (and won). The Flyers then heavily outplayed the stars, just couldn't bury anything, with hart sitting too deep in his net getting sniped with a backhander. It wasnt a pretty game but to sit in this chat crying all day and night about how you guys hate fights and it makes your tummies upset is entertaining to me.

If this team needs to dress a fighter to get amped up enough to play correctly then they've got some major issues ahead.

The roster is simply a poor mix of players and lacking in depth. Enough said.

Did the Flyers not play correctly? Regardless of the score the Flyers were the better team. Must suck for you to admit it too

Nothing else matters. They put less goals in than the other team so I'd say yes.

Tough stretch right now after an exciting start to the season.

Games like the last few are going to happen where the team generates chances and doesn't finish.

Im not going to make the Stewart fight or playing a reason for the loss today.

Really thought with how TK, Giroux and Coots started with that goal that we would be in great shape but things change quickly and right now with much of the team being a black hole offensively they can't afford to fall behind.

It's like people forget that the Blues were last place in January just a season ago and won the cup. If the Flyers make it in this season which I believe they will because there's just to much talent on the roster and in the organization not to, they should have a solid chance at advancing and going on a bit of a run. Once the Flyers get Patrick back they are going to be a pretty tough team to match up against 5 on 5 in my opinion. They have the depth you need to win with in this league if everyone is healthy , hopefully Patrick can get back by the start of November and the team can start rolling a bit here.

I also believe Fletch isn't afraid to add some pieces if need be so if there's something missing at the deadline and we're in a decent position I think we'll see some activity to make the team better in the present which is something we haven't seen while Hextall was at the helm. People on this site just love to irrationally complain about every little thing unfortunately. It's hockey not like the Flyers were going to go 82-0 or anything , I'd rather them struggle now and get hot later on closer to playoff time.

Only speaking for myself. I wasn’t in the stadium. I don’t have a problem with Stewart fighting. I assume that’s what he’s there for. He did his job and it was a pretty good fight. It just didn’t get me fired up. There’s no emotion in a fight like that for me. I know a lot of people just like to see people punch each other. I’d rather see some authentic emotion that developed out of hard competition.

I guess you could say that but the fact that Raffl has the actual ability to score some goals, make plays, is good defensively, and can play all 3 positions makes him to valuable to waive. Someone would pick him up in an instant. Raffl is not the issue right now the problem with this team in general is lack of finish but it will come. No team in history has had shooting percentages this atrocious continue for full seasons at a time.
