You know who has been consistently awesome for the Leafs this year?
Muzzin and Mikheyev.
Both have been just solid every game. |

Making a strong case to stick with the big boys. He and Mickey are providing the energy the club has been lacking for a bit. Kadri tried to ... but never turned out well most of the time. - Leafsmart
Tamishov has been good.
Kind of a nice surprise, I never thought he was an NHL player. He must of improved on his skating. |

I think he will get better too.
He is just deceptively fast and he has good hockey sense. |

I didn't mean to laugh at you or anything. I just hate the Yankees and the timing was hilarious to me. I read your comment as the walkoff homerun happened. - GreatGigInTheSky
Altuve bailed out Osuna. Loved watching the Yanks go down in a blaze of glory. ☺ Cheering for the Expos uh I mean Nationals to win it. ☺ |

He looks very confident and poised out there too. Impressive for a guy who just came over from the KHL. No adjustment time at all. |

I've been a bit surprised by Muzzin's lumbering skating style. For some reason I thought he was a more fluid skater, or lighter on he's feet I should say. Guess I didn't see him play enough, or pay attention to him enough. |

Where's our Russian insider, Adam?
Who is this Konstantin Okulov the Leafs are supposedly battling it out with the Habs for? - Woderwick
Bump for Adam, or MIB.

Nah. Muzzin always looks like he's skating in mud. He gets the job done though. I keep thinking his game will drop off. He's logged alot of hard miles with the Kings. So far it hasn't. Still looks like his solid dependable self. |

Never regretted the first rounder we gave for him. Cool under pressure. |

He isn’t the best skater, but he’s positionally sound and he has excellent gap control. He can pass very well out of his zone.
He’s just a solid D man and has been for the last 5 years consistently. |

A good example why your eyes lie to you sometimes.
If you are fixated on his skating you don't realize how good he is defending the rush. |

For the most part, you really need to see a player on your own team, and watch them play day after day to get a sense of how good or bad they are.
Clarkson was a one shift in preseason decision for me - not even remotely kidding.
Opposite side was Mogilny, even at the tail end of his career - not the offensive side, but the defensive side - he was awesome without the puck. I was amazed at the impact the Devils had on his defensive game. |

Feel pretty good with him out there - that's for sure.
I like Barrie's skill set too - I think he has more to give. |

And get a power play - winsix
We would get a player suspended for the next 12 games against Boston. |

Absolutely, once this team really gets going I think he is going to be a big part of it.
I am hoping Dermott can fit next to Rielly so it takes some of the burden off Barrie/Muzzin. |

You didn't, I am just saying his slower foot speed doesn't affect him at all. |

The growth of Dermott in one year was pretty astonishing - at least to me. Confidence is 50% of this game - maybe even more. |

I've seen people on here say he is too slow and say he sucks for it.
Max says it twice a day on here. |

The thing with Dermott is he excels where Rielly struggles. Dermott has been awesome at breaking up plays in the neutral zone and his own blue line.
It remains to be seen if he can play the RS but if he can I think that would make an excellent pairing.
Ceci needs to play on the 3rd pairing and not with Rielly. |

To me he skates like he weighs 425lbs...lol. He must be exhausted after every game. |
