Was I the only one that actually kinda liked a lot of Marincin's play tonight? I think he's been better than I expected this year.
I was pretty high while watching a replay of the game though, so I'm not sure if my judgement is entirely reliable. - Thecakeisalie

Give Marincin the C until Tavares returns...

Well it looks like the Leafs are going back to the team with the fewest power plays, with or without Kadri. |

And we'll still hear rival fans claim refs help the Leafs. LOL
They are 31st in PP opportunities the past 3 years. |

And the thing is, people will argue that if you play a physical brand of hockey, you'll get as many as you take because of the even-steven approach of reffing, but when we play physical, we always end up on the short end of the stick. |

Zero PPs tonight. Unreal. Same with the Caps game, until a couple mins left in the 3rd.
Somehow the refs have collectively decided that, since Chara is useless and slow now, he’s allowed to cross check opposing players at will
That game doesn’t make it to OT if the Leafs get a couple of the PPs that they deserved |

Bab likes to talk about his long stick, but imagine if all along this dude's been playing with too long of a stick and that's why he can't stick handle at all?

I liked when Spezza though he’d look off Chara and try to give him a shot....Chara gives him another cross check before Spezza can hit him. |

All teams are at their best behavior when they play the Leafs - specially Boston! |

He made a couple of good plays was actually +1 last night. Looked lost a couple of times and took a penalty that led to a goal. They won, he wasn't great.

I know you are poking fun...
but the truth is far far from it.
the officials simply do not call all the garbage, provocative stuff, the scrums, cheap little cross checks, whacks in front of the net.
then they turn around perhaps 2 mins later and call some completely lame hold or hook.
happens every single game.

If you watched the game, the Backes crosscheck to the head of Andersen not being a 5 minute major for intent to injure was bad enough, that there was no power play would be reasonable cause to fire both officials or suspend them for a couple of months. A reasonable response will be to send someone to crosscheck Rask in the head next meeting and see what the reaction is |

Rats. Well... at least we tied it up. For a few minutes. Congrats to the Stros. - Leafsmart
I didn't mean to laugh at you or anything. I just hate the Yankees and the timing was hilarious to me. I read your comment as the walkoff homerun happened. |

Sure they do. I see the Leafs get penalties for that all the time. That's the only time I ever see it, though. |

Where's our Russian insider, Adam?
Who is this Konstantin Okulov the Leafs are supposedly battling it out with the Habs for?
Bump for Adam...or MIB. |

Making a strong case to stick with the big boys. He and Mickey are providing the energy the club has been lacking for a bit. Kadri tried to ... but never turned out well most of the time. |

And I was laughing when I posted that. Thought the Yankees burned up the bullpen in the start of the series too much. Starting pitching needs improvement, CC gone and German.... may not see him ever again either. And if the Jays would like Happ to return, I'm all for it. Cheers. |
