I think the people who are so standoffish on Simon really lack a good understanding of hockey. - Rinosaur So your saying that I lack a good understanding of hockey? Please enlighten me on how you came to this conclusion? |

Cold and unfriendly? I'd say I'm pretty close. My general point is that they aren't warming to him because they're only paying attention to one single stat. - Rinosaur
Everyone always thinks it’s stand-off-ish in the sense of a stand off as in argumentative and aggressive, when really the word is like stand off in a corner as in being antisocial. It’s an extremely common mistake and most people use the word in the way you used it rather than it’s actual use. |

All good points and I agree. I was convinced that getting a LD in the off season and preseason was the number one priority. I remain convinced that is still the top priority. I do think that Johnson's play isn't so bad that it needs to be done at the expense of a first round pick or a roster player. - Thunderbolt
I am sort of coming around to this, but as far as a roster player goes, it depends who it is and who we are getting in return. I guess the first round pick is also up for debate based on the other parts of the deal, but I agree, not a "firesale" type of scenario now.
The thing is, most 3rd pairing guys suck, which is why they are 3rd pairing and playing 10-15 minutes a night. I don't think JJ will completely sink the Pens as some infer, but sure, it would be nice to have a better, cheaper option there. |

Sully likes to use his 3rd pair and 3rd or 4th line a decent amount against top competition so he can use his top 2 lines and pairs in some offensive situations. So that pair needs to be competent defensively.
Right now they're getting away with ZAR-Blueger-Tanev-JJ-Marino seeing a lot of top lines, but that sub 40% possession JJ-Marino are putting is going to lead to more goals against eventually as it did yesterday. |

Remember like 2-4 months ago when everyone was all doom and gloom about this season? Good times, good times
I still think this is a top 2 team in the division and we’re so much deeper and younger than we were a year ago |

Hope you like margaritas! And all you can eat hot dogs because that’s the section I’m in 😂 |

I’ll also chuck out some random prediction for tonight’s matchup: Pens win big powered by their special teams. 5-2 is the final |

They’ve had it for a few years. Hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, water and soda. Four items at a time and I go up as much as I want. $28 a seat! |

I wonder if Reaves will run around tonight. I believe he’s been pretty calm his previous returns to the Burgh. |

There are different kinds of Wagyu like the article states. I buy American Wagyu from Snake River Farms. Their Wagyu is certified from a 100 percent Wagyu but raised in the United States. I get the hamburger and it Cooks extremely different than regular Angus beef.
To your point though, there is lots of restaurants that claim Wagyu but do not certify it because they cross with Angus. - hipcheck_goalie
Yeah I don't trust a lot of the restaurants that claim to serve Wagyu, if you're buying it from a reputable source like SNF I think that makes sense. |

JJ with Letang, Guds playing the left side, Riikola as a winger.... and our old friend Wes McCauley just waiting to turn the hose on the Pens.
Gonna be tough to extend that win streak. |

He took warm-ups. Apparently his wife is pregnant so that's a possibility. Hopefully just that or illness not something long-term. |

so what you're saying is that, neither of them would have scored because they aren't real goal scorers, gotcha. so we agree. |
