How do you guys find Bear so far?
I think he's shown glimpses of being a really good puck mover as when he's patient, he makes smart plays. He's also scored 2 goals so aye.
Other times I feel like he gets blown by and is unable to make a goddamn play to get out of the defensive zone.
I like the potential, I hope he reaches it. - Oilers4Life14
ignore the times he gets a little overwhelmed.
They’re the exception. The rule has been smart heady skilled plays.
And he’s adding to our transition game. Which is in itself is bigger for us than any mistakes. Cause we needed another guy to do it So badly.
Our inability to do so the last couple seasons (the ole flip dump>larsson special -or panicked ring up the boards> russel special ) handicapped our offence in such a massive manner.

There's been the odd time that he's been beaten and two of the games haven't looked good on him, but people are quick to forget that that's true of every NHL Dman. Guys are gonna have bad games and they're gonna get beaten and they'll even once in a while have their lunch money stolen. What matters is are they contributing positively to winning the goal share battle at 5-on-5 and can they keep doing it. In Bear's case, he is and I think he can.
