Being a Red Wings and Oilers fan this seems the perfect time to ask your guys opinion on a trade I've been thinking. A lot of GM's like to bring players from their past teams, as seen with Holland bringing in Sheahan and Jurco already. And Holland/Yzerman should be able to work out a win-win trade with their relationship.

How about Puljujarvi and a 2nd rounder or D-prospect for Andreas Athinasiou?

AA once requested a trade as well, is on last year of a 2 year contract, and is still an RFA. Imagine his speed playing on McDavid's wing? And then Puljujarvi gets a fresh start with a great franchise, one that convinced AA to stay after requesting a trade. Think there could be something there?

I think I’ve done enough tweaking for the moment with forwards. Debrincat I’m hoping starts to pull it together.

Yeah after I posted I immediately felt like I should've added more. My point was do you think it is possible to get AA out of Detroit for a win-win trade?

My thoughts are Yzerman may wanna be in the bottom third of the league for possibly 2 more seasons so he can build his team thru the draft. AA is a Holland guy and has been bumped from the top line by Bertuzzi, is 4 years older so doesn't fit their timeline as well, he is better at the moment but Pul still has untapped upside to his game.

What about Pul + 2nd + Caleb Jones? Pul and a protected first (if pick is in top 10 Oilees keep until next year)? Pul and Yamamoto and a 3rd? Is there any combo of Pul + picks + prospects that could get it done without fleecing the Oilers?
