Ugly game for the team to win but they do it again. High danger chances tracked at 16-4 and regular scoring chances 31-15 in favour of the Flyers. A lot of that damage was done on the PP and in two surges (beginning of the 2nd, end of the 3rd) but only some of it can be explained away by score effects. Still a pretty lopsided tilt and not the kind of game you should expect to win often.

no I wasn’t a fan of the penalties and just how they played but the first half of the second period wasn’t good for the Oilers either.....I guess it’s a mixed bag in the end

The McDrai line actually got caved in shots and chances but Philly was missing the net. 6-13 shots, 4-16 scoring chances and 1-8 HD chances. I know this isn't their usual so I'm not worried but it helps explain a big part of the disparity. The Sheahan line was also caved a bit and got scored on, but I didn't dislike their game. Odd how that's been a trend early on; their line looks like it performs well but they get scored on.

I don't feel like a lot of their shots were quality shots though. If they didn't have a ticker below the score, I'd have thought the shots were around even.

Towards the end of the game, after the 6th goal, Philly took over, but it didn't feel like 51 shots or whatever it was.

Next 2 games are also teams on the back end of a back to back and both teams play the Flames first....weird scheduling
