The money would be better spent elsewhere and for the record I was a huge Hall fan

My for sure signings are Kassian and Nurse, I may be missing a key player, I haven't really been in touch with hockey lately. As for all the small signings they made this offseason, we'll see how they do.

I've enjoyed Nygard a lot. Sheahan has been solid as well.

Still say hall. Just cause we don’t know who we woulda picked. And it set us back offensively so massively

By all accounts not Barzal. Granted there were a bunch of studs after him still

- HB77

Nah, gotta disagree with you there. Reinhart by far. The trade didn't make sense at all. At least with the Hall trade, there was an attempt to try to patch up that gapping hole defensively. The Reinhart trade ticked off all of the wrong boxes. We didn't need a rookie defender with question marks, we need a proven asset.

Around the 16th, Barzal, Boeser, Connor, Chabot, and Konecny were all available. Even though we have the benefit of hindsight, the amount of potential around that pick was insane. Couldn't go wrong with either pick.

Then there was the 2nd as well, where our pick eventually led up to Aho. Lots of interesting picks to choose from there as well.

The players picked with those picks would without a doubt have made this team far better than what it is today.

His release is so good and yet never talked about.

I’ve already said no just based on health history alone....he also isn’t going to get younger so what are the chances of him being that 70+ game guy a season when he has done that for only half his career?

I was just adding to your perspective.

Hall is an incredible player but paying him what he'd ask for the back half of his career with his injury history isn't a strategy I support. Spend the 10mil he'd cost providing substantial upgrades to the middle-6.

He will have a full season to see what he has with this team before deciding what he thinks we need....I’m keeping my expectations in the middle for now as far as that goes

For real?

I thought it was between Chabot or Connor or Barzal? svechnikov was becoming more prevalent as the pick was coming up, but I don't think it was adamant that they would pick him.

If I'm honest, I'd like him to keep a fair deal of that cap space open. Spend a good 15mil of it but, with a likely flat cap, there's gonna be opportunity to take advantage.

I’ve read it from a couple of the local pundits

To be fair those guys are complete morons and stuck in 1988. But they do have often some inside knowledge
