The Goat just bounces guys who try to lay a hit on him. - Woderwick
I love old Hughson... Goat runs over a guy... no comment... Timashov hits Ovechkin... effectively takes him out of the play.... "Hughson says Timashov bounces off Ovechkin"...
you simply can't reach that level of stupidity in a short period of time...takes years of ineptitude to gain that experience. |

Both are not good. I dont really see this as a regret. I'd still make the deal today - senstroll
I hate getting worse. Especially in a year we're supposed to be going for it. One year of Barrie and last year of Muzzin and Dubas makes some puzzling moves and refuses to take the backup goalie seriously |

Me too. Dubas is waiting till a month before the trade deadline to wow the entire NHL with some slick Dooby Doo moves. |

Been asking that question since he stopped. Same with Andy Frost not announcing the goals.
Haven't seen a solid answer yet. |

This game is textbook Leafs being too chicken-shīt to engage.
Leafs get a couple, take the hits. Then the wheels fall off. This team isn’t anywhere near ready to win a playoff round.
I’m done trashing Willy, but (frank) is he soft.. |

Blame the greedy players If they all took a little less the leafs might be able to keep them |

They have all their top players pretty much signed for the next 6 years aside from Rielly. Look at Washington when they first started being a contender. They were expected to win for a long time until they finally did, that winning team is nothing like it was when they first started contending other than their core group they kept building around. Thinking this is the only year the leafs have to "go for it" is stupid when you have Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Rielly and Tavares signed with some good pieces coming.
If this group does win a cup it will be with that core group and the supporting cast around will either be very similiar(they win this year) or very different as they kept trying to win until it finally works. This poop doesn't happen in 2-3 years unless you get really lucky, it's going to take time |

He quit Q107 at the same time, sold his home in Toronto and moved to the Muskokas somewhere. He was well into his 70s. |

Sometimes people "retire" because their pay gets cut.
How old can he be that he can't announce the goals? Bob Cole called entire games until last year. |
