You sir are correct...

Manson is as said, a beast and Jones is big boy who is also and has great wheels for 6’3” 220 and creates havoc...

- dozerD10

Some say ducks wouldn't, some say it's not enough for Willie, I think there might be some tinkering to do, but max and Manson are what this team needs.

I wonder about putting lilegren in that trade and/or taking back keslers ltir hit and we could do wonders.

Not to mention the leafs have history making trades with the ducks, not that dubas has history with it, but could play into it as well.

That's the sad part right there because the Leafs have zero qualities in common with a team like St. Louis or the LA Kings so one of those "lucky" playoff runs is so very unlikely.

Leafs look like the baby Lightning right now and considering Tampa Bay is still figuring it out, makes you wonder how many more years is it going to take for the Leafs to finally catch up to a team that hasn't figured it out yet? And then how long will it take to surpass them?

Winning a Cup is hard but winning it in a divisional format with Tampa Bay sitting right there is even harder.

So Andersen doesn't make 1 extra save that puts that game into OT?

Stop shaking your head, it's having negative effects.

- JohnFergusonJr

It's a good thing you can read.

But the way freddy has played so far, no probably not.

Andersen still gives the Leafs a better chance at winning than Hutchinson, even on his worst day.

.896 > .886 or .875 like it was tonight. One more save brings that game to OT and one more save is 29 out of 34 (.906 SV%). Totally within reach for Andersen.

Hutchinson is a bad back-up. He's not going to give you results. Put him in net with a tired team in front of him and an All-Star team shooting at him and his already bad results get worse.

St-Louis was the worst NHL team in January.

Yea the caps haven't done a single thing worse than that Matthews penalty all game... gotta yell louder I guess
- harps43

Agree, Mitch Marner should have been penalized for attacking Tom Wilson's stick with his back for at least 8 more Washington power plays. Both Hughson and Simpson said so.

8 games, Matthews has 1 assist...

So?

How in any way are the Leafs of this year the same as the Blues of last year?

Just watched the complete game.
I thought the Leafs played quite well against a good Washington team.
Obviously goaltending is not up to par, and Leafs had a short meltdown in that 2nd period.
But in general Leafs put in a good effort, and never gave up.
If they continue to play like this, they won't have issues like in previous games (e.g. vs Habs.)

Has Dubas taken this team backwards?
