we could always include ceci in the deal.

good thing he got that signing bonus to make him easier to move out....

I'm sure there's a good reason why he didn't get it. Can't think of one though...

reading an article about Donald Brashear working at Tim Hortons in Quebec City.

In the National Post, right? weird that they used a photo of Georges Laracque though.

Probably hard to move, even if he was free.
- Garnie

if another team wants to trade with us, then they'll have to take him back.

otherwise, our assets are off the table at the tdl.

Yeah we laughed about that one in the Habs thread.

Sucks for Brashear though.

haha, no, the pic is him....but it looks like he's "helping" another NHL guy who actually owns the franchise...ctv news. But there's a few reporting him working there.

meh. i think dubas had +$60M in signing bonsues to pay this summer.

a $1m bonus would have taken the edge off of ceci's $4.5M salary.

Continuing our great debate from the last thread, the only change I see at the deadline in terms of defence is bringing Sandin back up.

We can't afford to do anything else.

- Atomic Wedgie

Unless of course there is an injury to one of the three $11 million players. That's $134,146 per game for anyone counting. I think Pridham and Dubas have already work out an Uber/Taxi squad scenerio, together with no player in the pressbox and dressing 20 to build up some cap relief for the deadline.

I thought because of LTIR reasons we couldn't gain cap space from anymore injuries, or something along those lines.

For what it's worth. Donald played in the NAHL for a while after his NHL career was over.

If you add up all the punches he received in the NHL and NAHL and the McSorley stick to the head.... I'm sure the guy is a mess.

Never a fan, but sad really, says something about the lousy pension plan at the NHL , I think Brashear played over 1000 games.

Glad to know I blazed the trail for him. Yup....37 years ago I was the first ever guy to be a counter server at Tim Horton's in Canada.

1st time I ever went to a Rotisserie pool, $120 budget for 20 guys

Pim/goals/assists/plus-minus etc.

1st guy thrown out was Brashear...the bidding was going along nicely and then 1 guy blurts out $25....room went quiet and he won the bid. It was his only year in the pool.

😂

Have to say I'm not sure of the exact rules. But a player that goes on LTIR has to be on for 10 games minimum - no relief for bonuses, but any salary for the season can be applied as far as I am aware. Probably a question for Frenchie

If Mikheyev and Moore keep it up they could trade a more expensive winger to free up cap space.
