Interesting thought, but wasn’t he an issue in Edmonton which is why he was moved in the first place?
So much BS on these boards I have no idea what is real or not. - Makita

Goldy and Sven had strong games. Lind looks faster. Rafferty, Chatfield and Teves were all solid.
I'm not sure who tweeted that OJ's skating is good again during training camp but he still looks slow to me, especially skating backwards |

I thought on Syr first goal OJ should not have let him shot. Out muscled.
I think they should sell . Briesbois is higher on my depth chart and Teves is coming along nicely also. |

Wonder how tree and Benn would look as a bottom pairing? |

He was coming along fine with Salo and had a good start last year until he got injured. |

I listened to most of Salo's interviews and there was always a but. He never once that I heard said he was fine. He would say things like he has skill but. He is a smart player but.
I have seen him play more than a few games and I am not sure he will be a set piece in Vancouvers future.
That is only my opinion. |

The Hall rumor is from Eliot Friedman. He was moved to given the captaincy to McDavid and not split the room. Plus improve weak spot D. |

Nah, I read comets from Knights fans at HF, they said the same thing about OJ looking disengaged in his own end of the ice, especially during his final year there when he was asked to play more against top lines.
It's not a physical thing, he just doesn't like getting his nose dirty. |

Oilers have to cool down eventually, they've already won multiple games this year where they've been out-chanced. |

He is 21 but he was drafted 4 years ago. He may one day turn into a NHL player but he is not a true first round pick. He has the skill of a later round pick. What he will bring to this team is the same skill someone drafted in the third or fourth round would bring.
If you could get a good return on him you take it. Pretty much like Jake you can find his skill set in later rounds.

Early signs showing Lordy H may be right about the Oil this season. New conference top 8 could include them and the Canucks as teams on the rise. |

Agree, but Jake would be harder to get decent value for. Dman vs winger, plus OJ has more "mystery/potential" since he's played way less pro games due to injuries and being drafted a year later.
Maybe a GM who was high on OJ during his draft year would give up a prospect who plays with more heart and has similar ability. |

Playing teams that are struggling to find there game, watched the first 2 periods tonight, Flyers best players can't score, missed the net numerous times, voracheck goal he had an open net and misfired but it went in lol, oilers had 3 chances in the second and scored on all 3 lol. |

You seem more disappointed by their unfulfilled potential. Not all high first rounders become stars or NHL players. At least those two will be solid NHL players (OJ delayed by injury). Finding them in later rounds is rare where the floors are so much lower. |
