So we have 3 sets of back to backs in the next 12 days. So we know Babs never deviates from starting Andersen in the 1st game and the backup in the 2nd game, So that puts Hutchison against Washington tomorrow, The Bruins on Tuesday and the Habs again next Saturday! While Freddy will play Minnesota tonight, Columbus on Monday and San Jose on Friday the 25th!

That reminds me, when Babcock was coaching the Red Wings, did he play a cycle game or did he run the same poop he runs now? I'm wondering if he changes his style depending on what players he has at his disposal.

Babs basically let the top 2 lines play whatever the heck they wanted to play. But he had his 3rd and 4th lines play dump and chase with a winger staying back to help the D. Usually Helm or Glenny. Every now and then he'd elevate a grinder to play with Datsyuk and Zetterberg. He gave Abdelkader a permanent role on the wing with those 2 and it drove me up the wall.

let's first focus on getting into the playoffs.
leafs without a decent backup will not be a shoe in for the playoffs - and the best chance to get a win is in the first game of a back-to-back, independent of the opponent.

Grigorenko may make sense at the right price.. but I'm skeptical that Dubas would knowingly sign anyone that tall.

Nestorov is more of what they already have.

THey would be better off bring back their own draft choice Rasanen RHD with bad attitude.

Frankly, anyone who can replace Marincin would be fine. If its Nestorov, the ghost of Carlo Coliovacavo or Jim Korn I could care less.
