What exactly is the risk? That he's going to walk around the GTA punching every woman in the face?
He made a mistake. He paid a price. Five years went by and he hasn't done it again. People these days with their (frank)ing moral crusades.
There is little to no risk and the point is to improve the team. There are players who literally KILLED PEOPLE who had careers in the NHL. - JohnFergusonJr

Not insults. Facts that most coaches do it because they're not the every day idiot fan, like me and especially you.
First win comes first. If you don't win the first you can't win both. And guaranteeing one is better than hoping to get two.
NHL coaches, for the most part, don't have the luxury of worrying about that. But idiot fans DO have the luxury of female doging about it online. - GreatGigInTheSky
What happened to "any coach worth his salt"? Now the story changes...
Two NHL coaches didn't do it tonight. Both the Flyers and the Hurricanes played their back-ups in the 1st game of a back to back. And neither coach is a bad coach.
Better goalie should play the better team. Better goalie should play division rivals too. Stupid is putting Hutchinson against the Bruins or the Habs.

Philly lost.
Carolina, a team with no real goaltending, just took the lead this very second, against arguably the worst goaltending team in the league.
But yeah, the Leafs should follow in those footsteps.
Losing the first game and trying to get the second after is better than winning the first and trying to win the second. - GreatGigInTheSky
I don't care about this back to back but against the Bruins? Andersen should be in that game instead of the first game against like Columbus. Division wins are important due to tie breakers.

Bingo. Habs too. Not just for tiebreakers, for the points themselves. Those are four point games.
Minnesota played last night too. No reason to start Andersen.
Funny, even Minnesota started their back-up against Ottawa last night.
