The wings goalie was Steve Bearnier.

Are you suggesting the two goalies are “equal”?

Bernier did have a good start to the season before we destroyed him.

Myers has been the biggest surprise for me. He hasn’t had a bad game.

I’d put Tanev up there with pleasant surprises as well. He’s changed his game a lot playing with Hughes.

Who do you resign? Tanev, Markstrom, neither or both?

- CubanBuffet

Both. Unless you find a deal, but even then why not lock them both short-term. Thing is, the team seems to sctually have some good chemistry/mojo it seems to me. With the exception of partboi JV, everyone seems locked in. Miller has been unreal. Myers good. Canucks record with Edler/Tanev are in is a playoff record. I'd like to see this keep building, if we end up with a top15 this year, that would be good but either way this is a good team to watch.

I am not a fan of naming lines (nicknames ) but just heard a funny one for Petey's line.

The Lotto Line

6-40- 9

that's pretty great, except the free advertising for BCLC. Out of all the corporations, that one is pretty much just designed to cripple poor/uneducated.

Ferland has yet to accomplish anything, but it is still early.

Ferland will finish with 15-20 goals and prob 15-20 assists. That is the production you expect for 3.5m. I really think he should be in Bo's line, we can call em the "run-n-gun" line, as Pearson and Bo are more of a rush player, just like Ferland.

Who said he was bottom six?

I just hated giving up a first round pick and still do.

Yes. I think it's kind of a relief that 2/3 look as good as they do though. I had no idea Miller had these kind of netfront skills/shot, I'm loving him/Bo on the PP just so much traffic. But yeah, no doubt Ferland hasn't done much in the first games here.

how about "jog-and-shoot"? Gotta say, Ferland and Pearson seem pretty effective but "run' is not a word I would use to describe them.

I watched some of his highlight reels before the season started, his skills were apparent last year. If you watch the clips of him on the Tampa PP you can see why JB wanted to trade for him.

With the start he is having, definitely worth the price tag so far. I think we have a shot at playoffs this year.

Miller was also very effective for the Rangers as well. He has come as advertised for sure.

So much has to go right for that to happen. Injuries will hit and we need to get 5/5 scoring way up. Can't rely on the PP every game. When we get to the meaty part of the schedule we'll see how resilient this club is.

We all knew we would going into the year, but things definitely have to fall the right way. We are and will continue to be a couple big injuries away from disaster for most of the year.

If Miller could keep this pace up, he definitely will have been worth the cost for sure, but we'll see where he's at in January.

Seriously, if you can't afford to gamble then don't, always having to blame others for stupid choices.

Take ownership for your own actions...

I don't gamble outside of my means, but blaming poor uneducated people for gambling is about as ignorant as it gets. Lottery corporations are literally to take your money, you standing up for them is truly bizarre.

Not sure how you arrived at that conclusion, obviously poor and uneducated...see I can make up assumptions just like you did.

Personally I do not gamble, don't believe in it. And I certainly can't see a crown corporation being set up with the specific goal of trying to cripple the poor and uneducated.

My message was...everyone needs to take ownership of their own actions, quit blaming others. If you cannot afford to loose money then do not gamble...if you can afford to loose money and gambling is attractive then by all means gamble...pretty (frank)ING simple

We are 4/19 on the PP(which is respectable) and 18 goals for on the season. Most of our production is already at 5v5. A lot of teams have similar % as we do. Naturally I want us scoring 3+ goals a game, but where we get our goals is not an issue right now. It is the consistency in which we score them. Getting shut out and then an 8g performance makes the numbers look better then they are.

All corporations are designed to make money, that is very simple and very true. This one just happen to be crown and crippling to people who grow up poor and it is normalized into everyday life. While I realize you didn't grow up around that stuff, I certainly did. Watching people pick up their parents habits is just part of the deal, it makes a lot more sense than "do better", "make better choices" and whatever other rationale you attach to people who don't seem to "get it". If you can't read, you've likely not given much thought to it. Anyway, I'd rather stick to hockey at this point, this one hits a little too close to home for me.

Most teams that make the playoffs are a couple big injuries away from missing the playoffs. If O'Rielly or Tarasenko got a major injury last year, do you think the Blues make the playoffs, or win the cup? What about the Avs with Mackinnon and/or Rantanen? Do I need more examples? How many did Pitts miss because Crosby and/or Malkin missed significant time?

I am surprised TSN isn't in shambles either. You can only focus on one market for so long in today's tech world before people stop caring about what you have to say.
