I think their ideal is to have three scoring lines (2 of which are at least solid defensively); and a 4th line that is hell to play against and also has very good PK players.

I am a known optimist, but I think they are pretty close to having the forward depth to do this.

They are close. VERY close. Dach could be what puts them over the top.

New approach to practices - let's hope it pays off (it should)

If goes back to juniors and the devils continure to lose, they won tonight, blake colman might be a player to look at. He can play center/wing $1.8 in cap hit. Worth exploring if things go south in N.J.

Adam Gaudette in Vancouver is another option, he’d be a solid centre option.

It’s not that easy to write something so incredibly confusing that you truly can’t tell if you’re horrible with sarcasm, high, or just not all there in the head. Hell, maybe it’s all 3...but I’ll never be sure. Well done my friend. You’ve got me stumped. I’ve read it over like 4 times and I still can’t tell which one it is.

sarcasm mixed with a 'dash of missed obvious'. Toews and Crosby have always been 2 different players. To keep comparing them as if apples to apples has always been surprising. Crosby never reached the 2 way play of Toews (ever)... Toews never has reached the offensive power of Crosby (ever). Not sure why folks try to compare them as if they were exactly the same (and always focusing strictly on offensive contributions as the sole definer of greatness).

So tried the sarcasm mix to make fun of that perspective. More balanced comments it seemed came out of it.

Care to elaborate?I have never heard that, doesn't mean it is not true, just I have read the opposite about him.

I can't comment on how Crosby is in the locker room or as a person, but man he's a whiney, dirty, stuck up sonofafemale dog to watch on the ice. I've always despised the way he treats other players, his "swagger", whining to the refs and expects to get calls because he's Bettman's crush.
Comparing him to McDavid, they are polar opposites to watch in the way the conduct themselves in the spot light of the NHL.
McDavid > Crosby all the way in terms of a worthy face of the NHL and role model for "all of you young hockey players out there" to emulate.

I also think McDavid has more skill / speed than Crosby, but thats a separate topic.
Crosby has had the good fortune of having another superstar, Malkin, on his team his entire career.

This is such BS

Crosby doesn’t complain any more than anyone else. Hell I’ve seen Toews wine and female dog and throw up his arms just as much as Sid. He even needed Seabs once upon a time ago to come calm him down in the penalty box. Crosby doesn’t act out or express emotion any more than your average hockey player, and there’s zero evidence to suggest otherwise. Saying he’s “dirty and stuck up” is pure nonsense. This is coming from a Hawks fan. I’m just sick of hearing people complain about Crosby’s attitude...he’s been an outstanding teammate and leader throughout his career IMO. (frank) the haters.

*NEW* blog up: http://bit.ly/2qpzDKP

So, the IceHogs are 0-3-0. They look to get into the win column this weekend with back-to-back games vs. Wolves.

Meanwhile, the #Blackhawks looks to get on a "winning streak"... of 2 games.
