Lehkonen is very useful and defensively sound. No denying that. I have zero issues with that part of his game. We need that on this team.

My question is on Julien relying on him for offense in the top 6 role. Shouldn't be there. He can't bury his chances......we've seen that over and over and over.

I got my hopes up with his offense in his rookie year when he scored 18 and he looked like he could score more because, in that year, he still missed a ton of opportunities while potting 18.

Byron hasn't been very good as well this year. Sure he plays on the 4th line a lot but still...

He obviously needs to make adjustments and develop as a pro, but I don't feel like "he's in way over his head". Not against sending him to Laval and spend some time under Joel, but he's not light-years away from being ready

Suzuki, Fleury and KK are all headed to Laval.

Lehkonen is still 10 times as useful as Suzuki. Send the kid back in the AHL until he can play without being knocked on his ass every 30 seconds. He's in way over his head.
- BashCH

Have you not seen Lehkonen get punished out there game in and game out? Suzuki has 5-6 games under his belt. He'll find a way to manage and get stronger.

Lehkonen is the Tina Turner of the Habs and the Lightning was Ike last night!

Are we talking about the same KK that was one of the team's best players before last game?

Julien sure doesn't seem to be a fan of KK...don't know why, the kid is playing alright IMO.

Will probably bring in a couple of 4th line grinders to replace the talent.

Unfortunately, yes. The kid had one bad shift (along with others) and Julien not only puts him on the fourth but also on the wing

calling someone's statement "retarded" is always a great way to begin a friendly back and forth.

i'm gonna try that sometime.

The fact that we have Mete, Lehkonen and Weal playing where they are in the lineup and they're usage/deployment was more the genesis of my frustration and point.

They're faster and more exciting to watch with better compete level.....but still fundamental flawed in their overall construction. Even more so if you factor in trying to win with Weber and Price.

Also, i'm retarded. Good eye!

- Snots33_77

No argument there, thats what you get for drafting for a long time from a meh position ( AKA constant refusal to thank for a few years, and hoovering around the 8th spot)

Point is, they wont be any better if they give up on those 2, they are fast and working hard. Weal on the other hand is starting to annoy the crap out of me.

Didnt say YOU were retarded, just your statement, happens to the best of us

Have I told you the story about the goals and their imminent coming?
- Scabeh

Yes, i'm trying to hold on to that. i just hope you didn't get that out of a fortune cookie.

I got what you meant and didn't take it personally. I just couldn't resist the opportunity to call myself retarded.

EDIT: Never said give up on those 2 at all. The just need to be deployed in the proper spot in the roster.....which is flawed....hence they're playing where they're playing.

For example, where would they be playing on the Lightning's roster??
