his upside is that he'll be a guy who can retrieve the puck and move it out quickly. not sure if you've watched this team through the first 2 weeks but only Petry can do that right now.

he'll eventually get passed by another youngster imo. may take a few years since they don't have a lot of LD in the pipeline, but that will happen. he stopped progressing. he's not better now than he was 2 years ago.

I agree there's a lot of room for improvement, especially his offensively play... he has yet to score a goal, but he's still sound enough defensively to do a decent job, on most nights at least. He might have stalled but it's early to tell imo
