haha.. i think it was 1989 or 1990

it was a newspaper ad... kind of has to be black and white

- SabresFaninIndiana

If my memory serves me correctly the original Sega was released in the States around Christmas time in 1989

But it didn't really become popular until about 92

i have a friend that goes twice a year with her mom. I don't get it. Maybe in like 3 years or so it'll be fun to take the kiddo, but other than that, I'm not sure what the fascination is.

I had a friend get married a few years ago and they decided to take their honeymoon there. They got back and she was like, "Whoever said Disney is the happiest place on earth is an idiot. It's hot, you stand in line all day, it's expensive, it's crowded, and there's screaming children everywhere." They even went when it wasn't peak season and that's how she felt about it.

I live 25 minutes from the Rat (Disney World). I avoid it like the plague. Over crowded, over priced. Not worth my time.

My child... who is about to hit 12. Loves the place of course. Thankfully, quite a few of my friends work there. So they take her along for free and I do not have to worry about going.

I have been dating someone for the better part of a decade. Weddings are expensive and largely a formality. I'm sure we'll do it somewhat soon, but I watched my sisters spend way too much money on theirs, and they were just stressed out for a year. City Hall + lawn party for me, hopefully
- jcragcrumple

For our wedding to my second and current wife 24 years ago, we went on a cruise in the Carribean, got married in San Juan, PR and then followed it up with a backyard party at her Uncle' s house (beautiful back yard with pool gazebo..the works ) ...had a blast with 75 family and close friends. I'd do that again in a heart beat.

My wife and I did the simple wedding, and 15 days in Italy with a 10 day Mediterranean cruise in the middle. The wedding cost less than $1,000 total.

Disney is a fine place, but there are better moments made outside of superficial things. The cost is bonkers.

I had an annual pass to Disneyland. My wife had the premium pass for the parking. I had the second tier, so our ability to go was nearly identical. We would go middle of the week after work, hit a few rides, get a corn dog and get out of there. We could get out of there spending less than $20.

When you go with a kid, it's vastly different. The food, souvenirs, time, stress, and crowds make for a very strenuous situation.

I read that Zoë Kravitz is playing Catwoman in the new Batman movie. Her mom is married to Jason Momoa. So Aquaman is Catwoman's stepfather now.

Well, I mean you could, lol.
It was to my 2nd wife!
I don't recommend going through the divorce ordeal though...very stressful for too long.
