I think Fenrir got the earlier quote I did. A side plot of Clerks 2 is that for Dante's "bachelor party" they book a donkey show called kinky kelly and the sexy stud. The guy is super defensive about the term bestiality- where the inter-species erotica quote comes from. Anyway, they are surprised to find out that Kelly is the donkey and the sexy stud is the guy. The donkey is a male itself and the guy goes "Kelly can be a guy's name too"

The whole thing is hilarious

I liked the 2nd better because I thought it was funnier. It's different than the 1st that's to be sure. I can quote 2 all day though.

1st one came out when I was working a job in a mall, often coming in on days when I wasn't supposed to be there, just a time in life where I could relate to it

My buddy in HS worked in a convenience store so if there was nothing going we would go bring him beer and hang out with him. Some of the people that came in were (frank)ing insane

I worked in a grocery store, as crazy as the customers were, the people working there were that much more nuts. I get that everyone needs jobs, but I wonder to this day where they found some of these guys at.

"i'm Sorry Jesus!"

They were both really good, but definitely different. Favorite scenes in the second one were the lord of the rings explanation and pillow pants/listerfiend.

I think Dogma was the best of his movies, but I pretty much like all of them.

But I grew up down the road from him, so I m a little biased.

Both of those skits were classic too. Also randomly tell people "You should read your bibles sir"

Yeah I worked the overnight shift at a Pathmark for a year. We had a stripper come in every week who use to do her shopping at like 3 in the morning. Everyone on the night crew would follow her around

For a second when I started reading this I thought you were saying you guys ordered a stripper to come to work. I was going to call you the biggest (frank)ing liar ever

Yeah I never worked overnight at the store. Only time I ever did grave was here at the bank when end of day reporting literally meant end of day. Some weirdos work overnight at the bank too, but pretty normal by comparison.

You'd be surprised. Production departments are always open around the clock and on the weekends. Call centers are now too.

I started work at 1 am because end of day reporting really was end of day. As horrible as the schedule sounds, I actually kind of miss it sometimes. When things worked to plan (you were able to sleep enough), it almost felt like you had everyday off. Of course there were times that were just random that you'd hit a wall. Already being on your weekend Friday at 9:30 am ruled.

I couldn't get used to the night crew, not that I was looking at it long term. I don't think I ever was not tired for that year. My buddy is a cop and he loves the midnight shift. Don't know how people could do it, I know I couldn't

I did shift work for 15 years in an auto factory and NEVER got used to midnight shift. Would pass out 5 minutes after getting home every morning (~7:30), but be awake before 11am EVERY day. Never again.

So because of my unusual start time, I basically cut my sleep in half. As long as I got my 2-3 hr evening nap, it was never like staying up all night. I'd come home and sleep 4 hrs or so any be fine most of the time. On the weekends, I'd do closer to a normal sleep schedule.

I blame 3rd shift for being awake Jimbro early now everyday. The adjustment I made when I went from 3rd to 1st was basically go to bed at the same time I was taking my nap and just sleep through. Even almost 3 years later, every once in awhile I'll wake up at like 12-12:30 like I would was working that night and struggle somewhat to go back asleep. I guess I can never 100% get my body off that.
