Yup. Funny thing is if they waive him to Utica he would be in the press box because of vet rule. Loan to another AHL team isn't so easy because of that too. Canucks to honest for some kind of LTIR excuse. Maybe a Euro loan if that can be worked out.

He should just retire from the NHL and go play in Europe imo. No team in the NHL will ever want him at his current cap hit, and even when his current contract expires i wouldn't be surprised if he had trouble finding anything more than a 900k 4th line/PK job.

Three #1 Dmen, 2 generational centres, a bonifide playoff coach, the best city in the world. This type of story telling underlines what I've been saying.... Toronto acts more like America with all the bullpoop chest beating about their greatness.
