If only Benning had traded another years 1st rounder for Armia hed have all the breakout stars of this year.

I mean, Miller IS likely to get 50+ points, but still not sure that's something the Canucks should have been shopping for in the first place.

Dumba is not the answer - he's got Phaneuf 2.0 written all over him.

Leafs should go for guys that might not be 'spectacular' but can play responsible hockey and have some heart.

FFS - Moore and Freddy the Goat have been some of the best players this season so far, that's sad..

- MaximusAurelius

We just lost by one goal to the reigning Stanley Cup champions, and then to the 2nd best regular season team of all time.

It's clearly time to panic.

Morning Pat. Rielly will be fine- without Seesee
- DrunkenCanuck

Maybe Babs pairs Rielly with Barrie against Detroit.

Rielly - Barrie
Sandin - Ceci
Muzzin - Holl/Marincin?

You are delusional then. What teams are going to beat them out?

A Pittsburgh team that is without their 2nd line longterm?
A New Jersey team that is playing like an AHL team?
Isles or Jackets who are at the bottom of the standings in 90% of people's predictions?

The Flyers are a playoff team. If you watch them you can see they are a much different team than last season. Hayes filled the hole at C, the D stabalized and Carter Hart is the answer in goal we needed. They are a playoff team as long as Hart is healthy.

- xShoot4WarAmpsx

Until he has a bad stretch of games and Flyers fans run him out of town.

I think the Flyers are a bubble team. It's going to be tricky, because there are a lot of teams looking for a wild card: Buffalo, Montreal, Florida, Carolina, Islanders.

It's going to be tough to nab a spot in the playoffs.

But I guess that's what they play the regular season games for.

I just feel bad for whoever has to carry Ceci.

I wonder how long it'll take for him to just get benched/waived/killed?

3L’s straight, blowing leads, D getting caved in, shaky goaltending, forwards not buying into any sort of system.

It may not be time to panic, if you believe Babcock can rite the ship?

Dundon.

Waddell said he probably wouldn't have done it but Dundon told him to get it done. Waddell said his response was "well, okay, it's not my money."

St Louis seems to like taking on guys who are weirdly expensive and overrated.

Its funny you say something so idiotic and refer to someone elses hockey knowledge. Lets come back at the end of the season and see who is idiotic...pretty sure I know who that is....and its you.

The last time I checked Philly didnt have the best player in the last generation and a top 10 player of all time on their team. The Pens have been without Malkin before, theyll be fine.

Those teams all pretty much had more points then the Flyers last year, Florida added Bob, and NJ added Hughes/Subban, and Hall will likely play most of the season.

- Archaic

And you know who the Flyers added? The added Hayes who gives us a legit #2 C and gives Nolan Patrick more favourable matchups(when he returns). Lindblom and Konecny who are off to strong starts. Konecny is expected to break out this season. Lindblom will improve. We have Giroux who people still refuse to respect his point totals for some reason. We have Provorov who is bouncing back from a poor season. Jury is still out on Ghost. Like I mentioned before the D stabilized. There is structure and guys arent skating around lost and blindly chasing the puck like last season and last but not least we have an actual goalie this season rather than a 8 goalie carousel.

So please continue to tell me how NJ adding an overrated Dman and a rookie who is currently undersized and being manhandled by NHL players is better than the Flyers who literally went out and fixed all the holes in their team.

Just an FYI St.Louis won the cup without a player like Crosby. So......

Can we just agree that you won't try to put a shine on the Flyers signing Hayes, and we won't try to put a shine on the Leafs signing Ceci?

It will save us all a lot of time and laughter.

Hayes, I forgot about that dud. Yeah thats a huge signing alright. None of your very flimsy points will likely equate to the Flyers making the playoffs

I like Carter Hart, but the Flyers arent good enough.

NJ will be a bubble team for sure, but theyll have Taylor Hall(for a full season), and Hughes will be better then Hayes this year likely. Subban is a huge add to their PP.
