Drac wouldn’t have given up a first rounder to get rid of (one year) of a serviceable Marleau.
Waddell took Dubas to the woodshed lol. - DrunkenCanuck
Loui Eriksson 6M until 2022
Jay Beagle 3M until 2023
Tyler Myers 6M until 2024
Roberto Loungo 3M until 2022
Antoine Roussel 3M until 2022
Ryan Spooner 1M until 2021
Traded a 1st round pick and 3rd round pick for JT Miller. The only person Benning should and could take to the woodshed is himself.

After 2 games....yeah, let me know how that goes at the end of the season. I hope you dont actually think the flyers are making the playoffs this year. - Archaic
You are delusional then. What teams are going to beat them out?
A Pittsburgh team that is without their 2nd line longterm?
A New Jersey team that is playing like an AHL team?
Isles or Jackets who are at the bottom of the standings in 90% of people's predictions?
The Flyers are a playoff team. If you watch them you can see they are a much different team than last season. Hayes filled the hole at C, the D stabalized and Carter Hart is the answer in goal we needed. They are a playoff team as long as Hart is healthy. |

Dundon.
Waddell said he probably wouldn't have done it but Dundon told him to get it done. Waddell said his response was "well, okay, it's not my money." |

You have your homer goggles on. Teams that are better then the Flyers(in no order).
Tampa
Toronto
Boston
Florida
Habs
Carolina
NJ
Pittsburgh - Even without Malkin the Pens are much better then the Flyers.

Yes in a vacuum it looks poor ... but when the alternative is not being able to sign Marner it's smart move...

Wondering if he’s ready to admit that Rielly/Ceci are struggling? Or will he have more excuses... - DrunkenCanuck
I assume, you mean me?
Yeah, Rielly and Ceci struggled last night and looked bad.. Can we see how the season goes before we write them off for good? |

You realize Miller was a 1st round pick and is only 26 right? This season looks to be his breakout year. He could get 60-70 points this season - xShoot4WarAmpsx
You realize that Tampa needed to dump him for cap space, and no one would have traded a 1st round pick, and a 3rd round pick for a career high 56 point player. Who cares if he was a first round pick? That means nothing. |

This is laughable. You have no business talking hockey. NJ, MTL and PIT(Without Malkin, Chucky, bjugstad and rust) are not better than Philly. Even Florida based on what I have seen is debatable. |

It does mean something. He didnt go that high for no reason. 56 points for a guy who was what 23-24 at the time is great in terms of development. That doesnt change the fact he is going to break out this season with Vancouver. |

For what it's worth.
I think plenty of teams could be considered similar in strenght in the east this season.
I think Tampa, Toronto and Washington are pretty safe bets to make the playoffs.
And that every other team (aside from Ottawa and Detroit.... and the Wings haven't looked half bad) can legitimately hope to get in the playoffs. |

Its funny you say something so idiotic and refer to someone elses hockey knowledge. Lets come back at the end of the season and see who is idiotic...pretty sure I know who that is....and its you.
The last time I checked Philly didnt have the best player in the last generation and a top 10 player of all time on their team. The Pens have been without Malkin before, theyll be fine.
Those teams all pretty much had more points then the Flyers last year, Florida added Bob, and NJ added Hughes/Subban, and Hall will likely play most of the season.

Leafs should go for guys that might not be 'spectacular' but can play responsible hockey and have some heart.
FFS - Moore and Freddy the Goat have been some of the best players this season so far, that's sad.. |
