We only seemed to have a few good shifts in their end. Other than that we kept fumbling the puck. Also didn’t help that we had a lot of giveaways in our own end...

I really like this new defense the Leafs have.

Good lord I love the leafs and their fans. If there is one thing I can count on its the leafs being garbage when it counts, whether they have a good team or a bad one. Been over a decade of fun and some nice bets won. Never stop GLG

No shame in losing to a better team... despite our hopes and dreams, we are just not as good as Tampa. Simple as that. Physical players won’t help tonight’s game. For all our skilled players, their skilled players are simply better at their job.

Marner thought he’s one of the best (top 5) in the league and so did Dubas. He’s so clearly not. Not even close.

It’s not just about goons, it’s about finishing your check and playing hard defensive hockey which this team seems to have no idea how to do… When the playoffs begin that is what hockey is all about we all know there’s a different set of rules when that starts you cannot win with all skill

Generally, you cannot convince someone who values skill amd advanced stats above everything else that there's other things needed to win hockey games. They just won't allow the conversation to happen. When you try to explain, all they can think of is Orr and McLaren, despite no one ever saying those are the types of players you need.

This whole thing will run its course and in a number of years we can try again to get the make-up of the roster correct.
