It's amazing how people use intellect to cheat and be a$$holes rather than use the talent combine it with some work. I haven't seen this one yet but continue to get two calls a day on my cell from India to sell me duct cleaning services. I know the stiff on the other end is a desparate starving person phishing for some other pr!ck, still have a hard time not swearing at them.

I was getting them for a bit, but I just kept saying I dont own a house. they stopped. I really dont know if that was the reason or not. But its a quick way to end the convo if nothing else. they just hang up

I get text alerts saying my business or personal debit card is disabled and then send a link. I usually just delete the text and then continue using my card. I’ve never had any issues.

if you PM me your online baking info I can help you with that

You need to know a bit of background here. Let's just say, his family has money and he's done ok outside of hockey. Successful writer of children's books, had a 4.0 GPA at Michigan where he learned to hockey from Red Berenson. And he probably had different Leaf pyjamas for every day of the week.

Oh I know this, I was just being a wiseass. Didn't his father own like a bunch of junior teams in the GTA area and have some sort of shady dealings?

Yes, he actually owned the league and tried to rule with an iron-fist.

They got Marleau now, so I expect them to overplay him and cut Meier's minutes.....
Wait... does that only happen in Toronto?

Yes, father owned several teams and has money. Not privy to the shady deals, from all appearances he did ok raising Zach. Hard working and successful despite a privileged childhood.

I'm sure they do. The question is by how much?

Because if you drop a high-skilled guy to the 3rd line, he's going to elevate the play of the 3rd line. Does that give you a bigger bump than on the 1st line?

It's a question that can only be answered this June.

Dom 'He wishes you had to buy consonants instead of vowels' Luszczyszyn of the Athletic wrote the piece. IIRC it depended on the players, but I remember him saying in most instances it's more significant than you'd think. I guess this all predicates on how much you buy into fancy stats in the first place.

Has three well received books, starting from a position of strength unlike J.K. Rowling who was on welfare when she wrote her first Harry Potter book, which was rejected by 12 publishers.

Someone tried to get me with this one last spring when I was trying to sell some Bs tickets online and not through Ticketmaster, because (frank) Ticketmaster and their stupid (frank)ing faces. Anyways, it was pretty clever, but I saw through it. I had to explain it to my mom because she doesn't know how all of this works and could easily be susceptible to it. I texted the guy back "Nice try, but go (frank) yourself"

I wanted to vomit when he brought up Zack Hyman. Please fire Babs.

I'm as down on Babcock as anyone based on the Spezza garbage last week, but he's not wrong on this one.

I do find it funny that sports fans today (of all teams, all sports) feel that they know more than coaches who do this thing for a living, have been doing so for many years, and know 100X more inside information than we do.

I think it's fine for fans to question what a coach is doing.

Calling him an idiot for doing something is laughable.

- Atomic Wedgie

I just about threw my radio out the window when Carlo Colaiacovo stated on First Up last week he could be an NFL head coach because he watches a lot of football. And he was serious, and Landsberg humoured him. Just because you win a fantasy championship doesn't mean you're ready for the 100+ hour NFL coach work week, or can be an NHL coach either.

Carlo Colaiacovo also thought he could make the Raptors team. I think he's trying to be funny

He's still a little pain in the ass and likes to antagonize, but he's kept that big nose of his pretty clean for a while now. Doesn't excuse his past jackassery, but at least he's not doing some of the poop he's pulled in the past.

This one he was serious about...for a guy who was a *meh* NHL'er that was always injured he sure has a high opinion of himself that's for sure.
