Will be a good acquisition. I imagine his price wouldn't be substantial. Since he's a UFA at the end of the year, I think he'd be the perfect person on our team to sort of man the ship until we figure out what we are going to do there.

I talk with a Winnipeg fan from time to time. I'm trying to convince him that that team has lucked into being a dumpster fire at the best possible time, with a core that's almost complete. They could literally add a #1 or 2 with a heck of a core and then if Buff and Kulikov are gone, fill out their back end. They could be really good next year.

I have zero details so it could be 100% BS, but the same Winnipeg fan said he had a source that said the locker room culture could have gone toxic big time. I wouldn't be surprised if Buff knew the whole time he wasn't coming back and just waited until the last minute to give a big f you to the team.
