Sens probably were the only team making an offer. What if Stinky did nothing this year to warrant any teams being interested at the TDL?
Take the 4th and run.

Freeing up $3.25 mil wasn't going to be enough to keep Shattenkirk, making a buyout still inevitable.

True but it would have been much closer. How much is still on the books from Shattenkirk?

Gorton and crew have done a very nice job of setting up this team for the future, while speeding up the process of icing a competitive team. The one obvious whole, which I am not sure I am really confident in any of the young guys filling, is 2C (I know there are some prospects that may fill it, but not real confident that any of them will). So, I think the Rangers are ultimately going to be in the market for a 2C (maybe as soon as this year), and they are going to need some cap room to navigate that. That, plus, the move opens up a spot for Chytil or someone else to play in the Top 9.

It hurt like a MF.

I'm sure it did.

When I worked at the refinery they had some storage tanks that were insulated. They installed the insulation onto these, basically with welded nails sticking up. I was getting chased by a pack of seagulls and I stepped on one and it went through my boot and through my foot.

Is it possible that we just forgot Stinky in Ottawa, Home Alone style? So we just decided trading him would be easier than getting him back to NY?

It's annoying the Rangers had to retain any salary.
- JRR1285

We had to give them An extra Million for Zib during that trade. Ownership must have no money.

Dude, they would build nests and if you got within 50' they would make a warning call and you have 50 (frank)ing seagulls dive bombing you.

Reminds me of when my daughter was around 5 we went fishing in the pond behind the house and she was attacked by a (frank)ing Canada Goose. I kicked that (frank)er into the pond before it got to her.

Hey Tony, you and every one of your countrymen have to take one back to the Great White North every time you visit.

Those damn things can be mean as hell. Some of them are fine, and some of them are just insane. Kind of like people I guess.

Actually I'm thinking of swans. I got attacked by one at a zoo when I was like 7. I will never forget it

I was fishing a couple of weeks back and there was a mom walking with her young son, who decided that he wanted to chase around the Geese. The mom is just letting him do it, doing absolutely nothing nothing to stop him and you can tell that they were about ready to throw that young man an ass whipping. I considered minding my own business and just letting the whole thing play out, but I thought better of it and told that mom that she may want to stop him from doing that.

Yeah I got bit feeding a swan when I was a kid as well

Geese can be bumholes as well, probably not as bad as swans though.

YES...Swans are mean AF. I also got attacked by one when I was like 3. Thing beat the poop out of me. Luckily my Grandmother came flying out of the house with a mop to save my life.

So McKegg will replace Namestikov. Is there another move on the horizon?
