Myers has size and an upgrade on what we had. At least we didn't trade a top prospect and a 2nd for him. Just stupid money and term

We need one more solid piece on D, hopefully on the right side of 20.

- VanHockeyGuy

I'd say normal money and term isn't so bad.

Van does need another right side piece. With Tanev injury history and contracts up for Stecher and Tanev at the end of this season they will need two more right side defenders.

Is a lot of UFA right side D that could be available end of season that would be an upgrade but probably at a cost that would cause problems for future next contracts on some of the younger canuck players

I remember how there was praise when he first arrived in Van, until a bit of time went by and reality set in, the guy sucks.

Been a lot of good things said about Myers so far as well. How long until the fans and media realize he still isn't a top pairing defender.

- manvanfan

Who around here said he was a top pair guy? He's always been a 3-4 slot dman.

Alright, forst win of the year tonight!! Bo comes out banging around with the C on his chest and leads the team to victory.
- neem55

Bo will be a different player with the C. Hopefully he takes on a bit of a tougher leadership role like Iggy did in Calgary.

Well he's playing as a top pair and getting the minutes. More media than in here.

Funny everyone in PITTS including Rutherford were all singing his praises just a short time ago?

They need help at C, does Sutter go back to Rutherford for the third time?

So I went to cut my grass real quick in the back yard before it snows 15-20 cms tonight.

Guy came over and told me that they were filming outside today and my lawn mower could be heard and so I had to stop.

I asked him what they were filming, It's not a movie they are filming it's the CBC show Burden of Truth. I've never seen it but I recognized the girl from Smallville. Kristen Kreuk is her name.

Wiki says she was born in BC. She's nice to look at.

Damnit, I should have asked for an autograph from her to stop.

Bo has been doing all the captain stuff for a while ...might as well had a C on him last year.

I didn't really like the idea of sending Baertschi down but I can see it help his game as Benning said. Considering his past couple years he hasn't played as much as he could have.

A third line of Baertschi, Gaudette and Ferland, Leivo or Pearson I think could be a real good scoring line without giving up too much defensively.

JV was getting PK practice time I saw the other day. Maybe the spell of Eriksson or Schaller needed for PK duties is could be coming to an end.
Van does have 100% PK over 2 games though.

Better to get one via trade if possible.

They just gave a 1st and 3rd for Miller.

For some odd reason, I feel that JB gave up the first for Miller because they thought they got another late first round quality player at 40th in Hoglander.

You can only have so many good players on a roster and after 3 years, they all going to need new bigger contracts. Picking that high all the time and having them all turn out to be good is not a bad thing except if you want to try and keep them all.

You blew it!

Picture with her would be better than an autograph...

Huh the first thing that comes up when googling her is that she was a life coach for a company that was a front for a sex slave cult

Heard a rumour he didn’t realize how much work went into being captain and joked he wished he would have asked for more money
