na. i legit enjoy the banter. Plus there is not much that any sensible hockey fan can say against the make up of the leafs, if people do, they are not being objective or their hate clouds sensibility and logic. Kind of like the first sentence in this bloggers write up with the loss to the habs; no respect haha. But its been nice lately to discuss the future of these fine franchises. Lots of great opinions!

hey while i got you, is Matthews body of work over summer enough proof the guy is probably not all that much captain material?My hunch was correct, i think i had a pretty good read on the douche. Great hockey player, but probably a real brodude. They are the worst types. Im sure Domi too is one of those types you hate to see at a bar with his brodude pals, just minus the creepy stalker vibe.

I know I am old, but I don't remember challenging anyone on Matthews being a douchebag. I don't really care if he is ever Captain, as long as he keeps scoring like this.

Montreal is better than you give credit. Missed 3rd in the div by 2 wins last year. Highest point total in NHL history to miss playoffs. They will be on the Leafs heals all season, may even supplant them.

Hutch wasnt bad either. i think it was 24- 11 the shots in the last period and a half for the habs.

leafs can score even if they get 5 shots all game. its infuriating, but also a very nice problem to have. like tampa... 3 goals on 13 shots vs 4 goals on 40+ shots by Carolina. drives me nuts to lose those games. when you out shoot and out play the opponent only to lose because the other team score on the pp or on the one or 2 breakdowns or mistakes. 2 of the leafs goals were beacsue of silly rookie mistakes...

I picked up hutch on waivers because raanta was out. Through 2 periods I was feeling pretty good about myself. Then it all went to poop in the 3rd. Luckily the guy I was facing had price. He got the win but our gaa were similar.
