You realize obtaining draft picks isn't one of JB's strong suits right?

I think you mean this for someone else...I don't give a fuck....

I hope he isn't referring to Chatfield or brisbois

Moving Biega makes it easier to justify calling up Juolevi as soon as there's an injury

Heard on the radio this morning that the hysteria in Vancouver has reached epic proportions. Reminds me of the tsunami of tears when Lack was traded.

I was bummed when Lack left because I thought he was a good backup goalie and I enjoyed his fan interactions. Obviously I took the L on that one since he couldn't stick around in the NHL.

In Biega's case I don't get how people can't see this as a good thing. We should be happy because we don't need Biega anymore.

Is HB the exception? I'm hearing about meltdowns it but havent witnessed any yet... even on the bit of twitter I looked at. Sounds like HF is Romperoom.

To be honest, aside from sometimes being on Twitter, I generally avoid any Canuck boards other than this one

Same. Until a few weeks ago, I only used my twitter for fishing stuff. I decided to follow some people to keep updated on prospects overseas.

You can see why JB did him a solid, he was a good soldier for this organization.

Good on Benning, for taking care of a loyal player, who was well liked by teammates and fans alike.
Thanks for the effort Alex.

Not sure if all the down time the Canuck's have had is going to benefit them for their home opener on Weds. Two games in a week is pretty light.

i also dont think it bodes well for their playoff hunt. light schedule to start means a compact one at the end where they have 16 games in march. one untimely injury and someone could easily miss a dozen games

Combine that with they really don't have any chemistry as of yet.

And we all know the injuries will hit.

JB's comfortable with the teams depth, i'm not sure I agree when it comes to D.

I'm sure Biega is happy to be away from this dumpster fire in Van...

Can't get to DET fast enough...

You are right that an injury in March would suck but generally speaking I don’t mind a lighter schedule to begin and a heavier schedule to close. Not literally but mentally games mean more at the end of the year so happy for the chance to snag more points when the team can see the finish line.

Good morning,

Thoughts on the Biega trade and whether a slow start can serve as a wake-up call for the Canucks, in the new blog:

i can buy that arguement. but id guess that more time to scoreboard watch and get some physical rest could drive the same effect. of all of gilly's faults i miss his dedication to sleep doctors and influencing the schedule to suit the research.

march 8-28 is going to be grueling this year and potentially where the team drops out of the race
