This feels like a favour to Biega, I can’t imagine that the Canucks actually want Pope. Wings probably wanted Biega but wanted to lose a contract slot.

Their Biega obsession is pretty funny, and I thought I liked Biega but compared to them, I’m a full blown hater since I think he’s a decent #7/call up guy at best.

according to hockeydb, he's a 25 year old that was in the ECHL at one point last year and has yet to play a game this year.

He's a pure contract dump by Detroit.

MS is weird. And he's it's not like he's some millennial, I've seen him post about the Canuck teams of the 90's and go in depth.

I think some of his posts are solid especially when he brings some realism on prospects that are being overhyped by Canuck fans and he's usually one of the first to point out when guys like Vey, Pouliot and Granlund suck while the rest of the fanbase still wants to believe in potential.

But then there's always some random depth players that he has a fetish for and overvalues the poop out of... Biega, Archibald, Gaunce, Carcone, etc.

Maybe he watches Comets games and starts overvaluing his favourites from Utica when they get called up to the Canucks? I have no idea.
