i thought Bogo was out for quite some time.. by the time he is even ready to come back i am sure McCabe will be injured.

In all seriousness, I wonder if he'll be back at all

You cannot send Joker down IMO.

He's played too well.

Reinhart and I have warned Botts we will riot if he sends him down. No Nacho bar will be safe.

I don't know if it was ever a case of Murray "not liking" McNabb. Murray had guys that he wanted, and he was willing to give up just about anything and everything to get them. Deslauriers was one of them. That entire trade including the giving up of 2nd rounders was just bizarre.

I don’t think he “liked” McNabb bc he never really gave him a shot up here once he took over

According to some of the analysts on this board, Joker is playing well. Guy still hasn't scored his first NHL goal in 40 games.

Krueger has him on the PK and he's playing decent minutes. Hopefully that makes him safe.

I wonder if Winnipeg would take Bogo back for a 5th or 6th if he gets healthy. They could actually use him. They certainly have the cap space

They started recording when they knew he was going to jump let’s talk about the previous 10 mins before when they all cheered him on
- gerbe75pts

Ok, let’s. Were u there? Or is there another video confirming ‘everyones’ actions for 10 mins prior to the faceplant?

Is Montour better than Risto? Wondering what people think about this.

If DJ Bogo comes back this year and they send Joker down to accommodate it, that would be a very bad move

Also Rob Ray was raving about Gilmour fwiw

- jcragcrumple

I guess all i can say is that having too many defensemen is a good problem to have

Let’s say Bogo comes back & we send down Joker
If Bogo looks good, then we will certainly be able to trade him
He played decent last year
Is a RH defenseman
On the last year of his deal
Idk what we’d get for him...
but I’m 100% certain he can be moved

And if Bogo plays bad, then we can put him in the press box or even send him down

Worst case scenario...
Bogo plays average enough to stay here, but not really help
But then Joker gets an extra year development in the AHL
He might not need it, but it won’t hurt him either

Gotta keep in mind...
we aren’t winning the Cup this year
So the overall goal of how to get us to the point of Cup Contenders is still what’s most important

At any rate,
we do have an extra RH defenseman

But...
Injuries will happen
Someone could slide to the left side
Joker can be sent down
So we don’t have to trade one of them

It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out

- jdfitz77

If he keeps playing like he has the first two games, I don’t see any way they can send him down. He’s been really good so far.

I suppose
My post was in response to someone bringing up how well Guhle is looking

For whatever reason,
GMTM didn’t see McNabb as part of the future here
Similar situation with Botts & Guhle

Doesn’t mean those players can’t go on to be good somewhere else
Just the way it is i guess
At least we got something decent back for Guhle though

It’s still only 2 games though

Is Bogo coming back soon?
I was under the impression he’d still be out for a bit

New stadium with increased ticket prices in theory should reduce
lets be honest you can get ticket to games for cheap on the HUB

- hubie

Or when the team is good ..... fans will pt way more money. The season opener tickets on stub hub for nose bleeds were between 130-150 bucks per ticket.

If both parts are good at their respective destinations it just means it's a good hockey trade. Good luck to Guhle, but he fell way too far down the depth chart and we drafted Samuelsson and Johnson to replace him in the pipeline.

I think the main thing is Guhle was from the GMTM regime. All GM's look at prospects differently and if they have their own vision they want their own guys. Seems to happen a lot in all sports.

I mean poop look at the bills. McBeane flipped that entire roster in a year and a half.

Someone do the math and see how many games he has played out of an expected 82 games each year. Has to be a brutal number.

Ok then
That should give us plenty of time to see how Joker plays then

When it was brought up,
I just wasn’t sure if there was news that Bogo was coming back soon

I agree ..... originally bogo was set for November, before the setback.

Honestly, maybe they do shelve him the entire year.

Yeah, i get it
And i still think Guhle is gonna turn out to be a decent player

Getting Montour back in the deal is much better than the garbage we got for McNabb
That trade stung a bit

I was just positing it as a hypothetical. Who knows if he even comes back. Also, I've been warned that I may be taking a vacation due to some comments in the tanner thread. If so, I'll see y'all in a while

I guess I’m just not worried about it till he’s actually healthy & coming back
Botts will deal with it then, one way or the other
And I’m sure there will be plenty of debate on the subject then, lol
