Exactly and everyone down there didn’t do anything to stop it that’s the (frank)ing society we live in now Disgusting

You can't blame everybody else. If I was there I would've had the same reaction as I did the first time I saw the video. "What is everyone looking at? And why is that kid running towards the edge? No way he's gonna jump. Oh poop call 911."

I see Guhle is getting very good reviews in Anaheim so far. I think that was a good hockey trade - I liked him but the trade made sense for both teams.

I still think Botterill would take back the Montour trade if he knew he'd get Joker and Miller. With whatever is going on with Risto, it would have been more useful to trade Guhle and a 1st for a RW. Especially if Risto is staying

Do you think montour is worth a 2RW? If so, problem solved. Make the move, same end result.

I dont think a GM would be inclined to trade a player he just acquired. The optics are bad

I'll still believe it when I see it. I think if this team is good then there is a glaring need for a 2nd line wing and he's the obvious candidate to go.

Why even bring it up then? It’s not unprecedented.

My point is that I think if Botterill had a do over, I dont think he would have traded for Montour. He just wouldn't have made the trade

I absolutely think he would make that trade. Mountour is fast, young and has good metrics. Guhle might become Montour but that's nowhere near a certainty. I can't wait to see him in the new system.

I'm not so sure. Miller and Joker have been good. I think if he had a do over, he would have tried to get another forward instead. Unless Risto is still on his way out

Easy enough, trade him for a winger. What’s the problem? Optics? Meh. I think winning is great for optics.

Same thing happened to Guhle when Botts took over, that happened to McNabb when GMTM took over
Both those guys were on track to play with the Sabres...
and for whatever reason the new GM decided they didn’t like them, and they never got a real chance to make the NHL after till they were traded

McNabb has already proven he’s a quality defenseman
Very possible Guhle does as well

But at least in losing Guhle we got Montour back
So at least we’ve got a good player as opposed to the crap we got for McNabb

I don't disagree. There was a rumor a while ago that Kase was available from Anaheim. Does Guhle and a first get you Kase? Who would you rather have? Miller, Joker, Montour and Risto? Or Miller, Joker, Risto, and Kase? I think Kase improves this team dramatically

At any rate,
we do have an extra RH defenseman

But...
Injuries will happen
Someone could slide to the left side
Joker can be sent down
So we don’t have to trade one of them

It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out

I don't know if it was ever a case of Murray "not liking" McNabb. Murray had guys that he wanted, and he was willing to give up just about anything and everything to get them. Deslauriers was one of them. That entire trade including the giving up of 2nd rounders was just bizarre.

The way i see it is that we traded Ghule and a first for likely a little more than Ghule's maximum ceiling and we get that as a certainty and we have that asset right now.

If DJ Bogo comes back this year and they send Joker down to accommodate it, that would be a very bad move

Also Rob Ray was raving about Gilmour fwiw

It would probably be Montour in and Jokiharju down.

I was just going to post this. The nfl swept that one clean under the rug. The circumstances were overwhelmingly homicidal.

They started recording when they knew he was going to jump let’s talk about the previous 10 mins before when they all cheered him on
