Lucic was awful tonight

Neal.....2 goals tonight.....hope the fact that lucic can still face punch, makes seeing neal score 25 sting less

Look like they would have benefited by some preseason games playing together. Frustrating to watch, they aren’t in sync at all.

Liking Hughes, Myers & Gaudette tonight, Horvat & Marky as well.

Yes they were more involved.... though JV had a noticeable game and was the closest Canuck to scoring off the crossbar.

LOL
CBC announcer pumping Riitich's tires

guy had maybe 1 somewhat difficult save in the last 30 minutes.
It's not him playing good
its the canucks playing like poop.

Who called a Calgary shut out.... I did!

So did these Alberta teams goalies' have great games or were the Canucks (especially forwards) just off in connecting offensively?

I still don’t like the trade but ...Loui could go to edm and score 25 with McDavid lol

Neal is a bottom 6 guy on the flames but top line guy on edm

edm sure was desperate for wingers but neal is a big upgrade on their other options.

Agreed ...Rittich was solid but the Canucks couldn’t generate any dangerous chances

For a team that traded wingers like Eberle and hall they really weren’t stocked with replacements lol

I thought Edler was poop tonight. Every single shift he had on the PP, he fumbled not so difficult pucks on the blue line and the zone had to be cleared. His trade mark. He'll be better next season. You can count on that.

Jake played better but like I was saying the other night. Its a feel good road game for him every time. Reward him of course. Motivate any way you can.

Quinn was great again. Best player over the whole 120 min so far.

Myers did some really good things in this game. Who here didnt know he turns over pucks though? He's still light years better than Edler 5 on 5 and on the PP. I loved his mean streak after getting dumped face first. The little shot by Giordano after set him off. Awesome.

When do you think Miller gets bumped up to Petey's line? We have 3 players playing poorly together. Brock and Ferland are suffocating Petey. He needs to get the puck more often. I've been saying it since July 1st. Petey will get the puck on net constantly if he is not the set up guy on his line. Miller can feed EP and Brock pucks. Not EP feeding Bock and Ferland pucks. They take so long to get shots/pucks on net unless it's deflections. Petey is instant(when his stick doesnt explode).

Bo's line still the best line but not as good as game 1. They are playing an offensive game down low so some pucks are going to come back the other way. EP's line and the 3rd line need goals to counter common mistakes... so ball is in your court Green. What now?

Can't wait to finish NHL preseason. Green's AHL preseason was fun though.

Edit: Gaudette had to warm up. Excusable since he hasnt played 10 days. His buzz was coming back though. Keep him in!

LE was not in the line up. Canucks never gave up a PP goal. Take notice. Send him down. Bring up offense.

Yes and Yes. Don't worry Green liked Gaudette's game he's staying in same with JV. IF LE comes in its for Shaller but doubt it. This early they will not call up Sven to play in top 6. LE will go down when Roussel comes back.

The Canucks started to push back in the third, and even threw a hit or two, but nothing too dangerous. Pretty easy SO for Calgary.

They have plenty of practice time until next game. Perhaps change power play swap in QH and Gaudette from PP2 to PP1 sending Leivo and Edler the other way.

Nice essay, the pp needs to get going, slow starts have become a habit going back to last year and scoring 1st is huge in this league, pk has been really good, they are out of sinc fumbling pucks etc, bear down around the net more and force that puck in. Hard to win home openers as a visitor especially when you don't score 1st.

Seemed like a pre season game with all the penalties and fumbled pucks, missed passes etc.
