I'd probably not be on board since that'd be, I assume, the worst win record in league history.

But beating the Habs is always nice, I'll admit.

Also, if you want to increase the confidence of your backup goalie, so they maybe improve their play, and you can then play them more and rest your starter a bit, it seems counterproductive to play them mostly in the second game of back to backs when the team is tired.

I agree with that assessment. Which is why my stance is he should be playing the matchups. Makes it tougher for other teams to predict going in as well. Julien knows Babcock sticks to this ridiculous back to back schedule no matter what, hes known they've been getting hutch on Saturday night since before the season started...
