I once did like 5 hockey pools and it was the worst season of hockey ever. Just cheering for every player but not that one because he was against your goalie in another league.
Fantasy is fun in maybe one league. They definitely can get too serious. - Aaron_85
Yeah, it can be very emotionally conflicting.
The two that I'm in tend to be won by this buddy of mine who is incredible. We are all pretty hardcore hockey nerds, and yet somehow he manages to win more than he should. He also does this in his other sports pools. I used to joke about how he was Rain Man. Then I found out he has three autistic kids. Suddenly his slightly askew conversational style and that he works with numbers made sense. I study his tactics and there is no obvious way it differs from mine. He just sees things I can't see. It's like playing against a computer. (frank). |

I thought, hey I fit some pretty good players under the cap. I even got Pettersson in there. Later I realized it wasn't Elias Pettersson, it was the other one. - Zezel

I'm in three. One on ESPN and two on Yahoo. Usually I stick to two, because they take work, but my uncle wanted me and my dad to join his league and the prize money I'm gonna get for winning it was too good to not do it.
Oh, I'm also in a bracket pool, too. Thankfully that one is set from the outset so there's not any thinking needed on a weekly basis. |

Anyone see fleury pick up a sharks stick while there was a fight and shove it through the camera hole to give to a fan? Pretty funny |

Wrong answer!
Leafs are better off in the long run playing Hutch and losing. Get with the program. |

Not too sure about that...
Losing --> higher draft picks --> more star players --> more offersheets and insane contracts |

HBSL question guys-
The previous (and only) fantasy hockey pool I played was an ESPN league. A player's point totals were averaged based on the number of games played. Aside from consistency there was no advantage to picking players who play more games in the week.
I wasn't sure if the same would be true here, but looking at my scoreboard it looks like more games played = better? |

You're 100% right.
Columbus is the easier team and it's Montreal on a Saturday night.
Leafs are going to be tired tomorrow and are going to need the goaltending to be top notch.
Using Andersen tonight was a total waste. - JohnFergusonJr

correct.
so you normally try to chose players that play 4 games that week first (and then 3) - and avoid the players with 2 games. unless of course you think the player is going to get 5-6 points in 2 games that week (vs ott for example ) |

I watched it on DVR this morning. The Sharks are either done or the Knights are going to (frank) up the West with ease. |

Well more games played could equal more points but that's not always the case.
It all depend on how hot the player is at that time. |
