Bad play Keith, bad goal Crawford. Again.
Crawford has kept them in this game but has given up 3 not-good goals. - StLBravesFan
??? Keith forced him to go wide and around the net. 68 wasn't there to seal the post, and CC was slow side to side.
Lehner's going to be the #1 goalie pretty quickly this season. |

So as bad as they played - and they did play bad - if not for some soft goals given up by Crawford.... |
|
|
|
Well, the Hawks still can't beat philly at home in the regular season; even when philly's at home in a different country. |

Lehner will start game 2. The best part is that we get to sit on this loss for 6 days! - DarthKane

Yeah not sure why some want to blame Keith on that or the other one Crawford missed

Gus led Dmen in ice time..
And Zach Smith sucks. Never should have moved AA for him. Brutal move there Stanley unless Dach plays there all year |

yeah some tough GA's but he also made several A grade saves...
they got outplayed, no zone time, poor puck retrieval, and turnovers got them again...
ah well get to female dog about this one for a almost a week...

I don’t recall many - if any - sustained possessions in the ozone (other than the 6x5 leading to Kane’s goal) - multiple shots, retrieval’s, make Hart make two or three tough saves in a row.
The positive - this team should be able to correct that.

This needs to happen Thurs
Nylander-Toews-Kane
Debrincat-Strome-Perlini
Saad-Shaw-Kubilak
Caggulia-Kampf-Carpenter
If Dach is ready
Nylander-Toews-Kane
Debrincat-Strome-Kubilak
Saad-Dach-Shaw
Caggulia-Kampf-Carpenter
If Nylander slacks..then put Perlini in the lineup. Or Saarela, or Sikura...
Smith should be waived. Versteeg is a better option |

Wow there was a lot of what I saw for that 10-12 game terrible stretch in November/December last year.
Poor entries, puck retrieval and poor coverage... Granted we were down two starting Dmen. |

Upon review - I absolve Keith in the 4th goal - KK should have picked him up.
Keith should have done a better job on Kopecny’s second. |

In all seriousness, our top guys played like crap today. Keith, Toews, Kane, Strome, ADB all had numerous giveaways. You had maybe two guys that actually went after pucks in the corners. That was an effort loss, not a talent one. Bringing back AA or swapping Perlini for Smith would not have made a lick of difference in this game.

After 47+ weeks, I'm starting to think this is JC's system... |
|
|
|
If JC continues the passive PK, it will be a long season. Zero pressure on the points. The team looks passive across the board and DK is having a schit game. - z1990z
Im waiting to see actual NHL dmen on the ice, 3 guys who don't belong right now, don't get me wrong i like Gilbert, but with Koekoek and Gusto getting minutes forget about it. |

Smith played a solid game. The Saad Kampf Kubalik line does nothing for me. No play maker. I thought Kane played well. He ended up with a 3pt game... not sure what else you expect from him.
Toews Seabs Saad (except for one power move) and Keith all pretty meh. When your big boys are meh the team is going to perform poorly.
Is it just me or did Shaw get faster and more explosive? |

Kane is always going to produce, but why does it take them getting down 1 or 2 goals and half the third period gone to actually start playing direct and skating? The second period was a dumpster fire, but all the guys I listed had horrible turnovers.
Shaw looked good. I liked Kubalik as well. He pursues the puck and wins a lot of battles on the boards. |
