God this thread makes me laugh, one game, one loss and the blame game starts. I thought they played pretty well last night and deserved to win, on to the next game and keep improving

Green is a BS’er

I don’t know how some people keep taking GM’s and coaches at their words. They just try to say what the media and fans want to hear.

A bit of hyperbole in that post. I don’t think anyone here has started the tank engine, just venting frustration over bottom 6 line combos which is completely understandable. I don’t believe anyone who says they like this bottom 6

I agree that positives are being overlooked though. Hughes-Tanev looked excellent. Myers was solid. The Horvat line had a lot of zone time.

It seems funny that so much will hinge on his return. They added a bunch of talent. The trickle down effect from the top 6 was supposed help the bottom 6 but it appears they want to give last years bottom 6 another go.

For sure, but not as much as he should if he’s playing with LE/Sutter. Probably the worst forwards on the roster for him to play with.

He’s best suited on a higher energy line

It's game one.

The best player in the world scored on a bad play. Sutter had other good plays in the night. I won't say much.

Things will change . I just don't expect it all to happen after game one. Right now Green trusts Sutter more than Gaudette and I am sure that will change at some point.

I bet when Motte returns Jake or Loudini will sit.

Very .

He first of all said he wont spoil the party for the captaincy but then said it is the worst kept secret in Vancouver and laughed.

He was then asked about Loui and Sven how he felt about sending players down. He said of course I hate sending millions down to the minors. He said I run many many things other than Canucks and I make mistakes too that cost me millions but overall I come out with a profit. I understand that no one bats 1000. I know when Roussel and Motte come back we will have to send someone down.

Did Q Hughes “literally” break Larson’s leg? Not like crazy skating ankle breaking, but actual broken leg. Just saw he was out for like 8 weeks...

Although there were some hiccups in the game yesterday, I thought the Canucks were the better team.
Let's see how things go over the next 10 games or so. This team has changed about 12-15 players since before the start of last season.

Adam Larsson will miss the next six-to-eight weeks with a fractured right fibula.
As previously reported, Larsson has been moved to the long-term injured reserve list. He suffered the injury in the first period of the season opener. This is a tough loss for the Oilers to deal with and casts a shadow over their win against Vancouver.

I am pretty sure I know some changes need to be made on the bottom 6 , and the good news it is the bottom 6 everyone is upset with. We finally have a top 6 and decent D.

Motte and Roussel will help shore up the bottom of the lineup. Not to worried about it, just wish I never had to watch Loudini again.

Fixing the bottom 6 would be difference between being a playoff team or bubble team.

It’s possibly the greatest Canuck nickname in their 50 year history
