Need players like him in your line up if you want to win in this league. Also why you make sure virtanen doesn't stay in the west.

JV has had some moments but he's not going to do much with Beagle and Shaller.

The bottom six deployment has been only 1.5 lines going as Ferland missing time not dialed into Petey. Horvat's line was decent.

Horvat line carried the team tonight.
Thought Edler, Tanev and Myers had strong games.

Kassian usually has a good game against Canucks as a thank you JB for all your help and patience lol. But then again his off ice antics were uh... nuts.

Yeah QH too... now were the rest of the team off or the Oilers surprising with their defensive play?

If you are going to turn it over.

it shouldn't be to fricken Draisaitl.
Draisaitl's face was even like......thanks for passing it directly to me.

Really? They were on for the first goal against and made a terrible line change causing the 2nd goal against. The 5 man units are a joke - Edler/Myers don’t play a compatible game with Pettersson’s line and Hughes/Tanev aren’t optimally compatible with Bo’s line. Switch that around FFS. & the PP design is (frank)ing awful. So basic & boring. We have the pieces to have productive special teams, but the systems to minimize those pieces. Gross.

Kassian's always had a more natural mean streak than Virtanen, going back to their CHL days. You don't have to motivate Kassian to throw a hit or stir poop up, he likes doing it.

Didn't Sutter then just watch Mcjesus flow past him....

He did
But..... I actually thought that hughes played it really well.

He's about to change but then he is caught flat footed and he even caught mcdavid and tipped it, just not enough.

Oilers definitely looked less panicky in the D zone. Nucks still controlled play enough to score 1 or 2 more

Agreed. That one was on Sutter. Putting your dmen in that spot against McDavid is brutal. No way they can recover fast enough to stop him there.

Hughes played 23

I agree with DCT though, I'd like to see more of Hughes on the ice with EP, at both 5v5 and the PP.

Yeah it wasn't a Mcjesus splitting the D classic they scrambled back too.... and if Sutter actually tried to defend a bit might have given QH the time to stop him.

Hope Green not show patience there and get Gaudette in cut LE out of line up put Sutter on 4L wing.

That's all they got besides mcdavid but those 2 can win games if the goalie plays great and that's what happened tonight. Should have been holding the stick ref right there and seen it.

Were Schaller and LE both used on the PK? I hope so otherwise the lineup makes no sense.
