Ya if they want 3 lines more geared for scoring I would’ve tried Sven Gaudette (seemed to be some chemistry there) and Leivo. Sutter can toile on the 4th line till he gets injured ... over/under at 5 games on that one.

ASL was partly correct last night saying we are three years from getting rid of the problems. I think next year we will see a young player push for another spot just like Gauds will do this year

To be truthful Sven is not that good either. Jake is the guy that needs to step up. He is the high draft pick that is not pushing. I honestly want to see a trade.

Gaudette should win the 3C sometime this year and I don't mind Leivo as a third .

It's not that I think Baertschi is that great or team would lose him. It's that Louie sucks and so does JV. I'd rather both those guys ride the bus, especially JV or have to live in another city away from home to learn some lessons. I don't care if JV gets his act together here, he's been a waste from day 1. Team could have used a decent winger the last 3 years and he's been a plug.bad example for other young players in the system. not held accountable by anyone really.

If you were a GM of another team would you be looking to add Baertschi to your roster? I wouldn't .

I think he will be a depth call up just like Gagne .

Frankly, there is more to LE than the fans are willing to accept. He does suck. No denial. However, its pretty clear that since owners and management went all-in on him that they are going to see it through. They dont have much of a choice there. Nobody else wants him.

As far as JV goes, I dont know what to say. i hated the pick when they made it and he doesnt do a lot to inspire.

But the fans need to give up on the idea that Baertschi is the same player he was in his career high season of.....35 pts! He's not. Ray Ferraro said as much today and hes probably the only guy in the media that I have any respect for.

I'm pretty sure that Baertschi will find his way back to Vancouver tho and he will contribute. Hes just not the guy the fans think he is tho....

I don’t see it forthcoming from Jake honestly. Feels like one of those hometown guys that will never thrive in their hometown. Was at the pre-season game in Calgary where he got those two goals and he did absolutely nothing before that. No push back when they were getting outshot 14-0, no setting examples for a very young squad. His shot is great no doubt, but he doesn’t even seem to have ability to pushback without it being a penalty. I could see him being a bit better with a change of scenery but nothing great. Too bad, I actually liked the pick and idea of a hometown boy.

I wanted the Canucks to draft him. I always pulled for him to make it. He had a decent year point wise but many games he did absolutely nothing.

I think he is facing his last chance as a Canuck IMO.
