But I think most would agree he outplayed Okposo. Probably an overwhelming majority of the people who watched the games would say that. That's why I believe they decided beforehand. I dont think it was possible for Tage to make it over Okposo - jcragcrumple
Refer to point 1-
You’re putting way too much stock in a very small sample size of split squad games
Also...
Tage can look better than Okposo in preseason
AND
it can be determined that it’s still best for Tage to get sent down
They gave him a shot to see if he was ready,
they determined he still had work to do
It really didn’t have anything to do with Okposo
It had to do with what they thought was best for Tage |

Two months ago jcragcrumple and I were the only downers on this board. Good to see so many faces joining the dark side.
Personally, the frustration comes from feeling they will be very bad, but also feeling that one or two moves would have had them potentially being really quite good. One more scoring wing for the top six, or a 2C. One or two new faces on the fourth line to actually provide some toughness, which could have been had for the price of resigning guys who weren't tough. I'm just sick of watching an organization that for the last 20 years has always been one or two moves short of competent.
We were a scoring forward away from a cup in 99.
A depth defenseman for a late draft pick away from the cup in 06
No one wants to rehash the ineptitude that lead to losing Drury and Briere and denying us multiple chances at competing for the cup. Trying to save a million bucks and losing everything.
But forget those examples. Even last year, after the ten game win streak, everyone was saying we can't sustain this, let's see a big trade to bolster this team and be actually great. No trade. Then the slide. Everyone said fire the coach and save the season. But no, he got to tank us just to be fired later. The entire season was wasted because we just couldn't react and make that one move to stay competitive.
Again this year, I feel we are one decent trade away from being actually good. But Damn if we won't just all watch this in slow motion again for six months. - matty12345
Dylan Cozens wants to have a word, he also has a much better chance of being remembered and talked about 10 years from now then a first round playoff exit this past spring.

“One big move to make us a contender”
Is exactly Tim Murray’s mindset and is the reason we are where we are right now.
We are more than one big move from being good and rushing things and failing will just start this cycle of depleting what little assets we have now and having this same conversation three years from now with a new GM and another new coach. |

Botts be a homer, claim Daniel Sprong
edit: and claim Josh Ho-Sang too. Plenty of garbage we could waive for those two. |

Interested to see how Ralph handles it. Sobotka and Girgs played more RW than Sheary and ERod last year, and looked much more comfortable playing there. For that alone, I thought Tage would still be here. - Lunaion
The answer at RW could be either Tyler Toffoli or Ondrej Kase in a trade. |

A trade this week would be cool, but it seems unlikely. |

I get the logic. But please name me a player that we have in Rochester that you think is really going to make the kind if impact that you seem to think would honestly really change the roster this season?
I'll hang up and listen.... - HonkFortheGoose
I've read you and others say the same thing constantly.
Why does a move have to be a big impact one to make it worthwhile? Isn't the idea to get any improvement possible with every move made, no matter how small the improvement? |

Does anyone know if my cousin gets center ice (he lives in the midwest) can I log onto his account in buffalo to view sabres games? Or are they still blacked out. |

I'm blacked out in Albany, which may mean you're blacked out in Buffalo.
Those black out rules are moronic. Hell, sell team packages where none of those teams games are blacked out no matter where you are. |

If you want to say Okposo still produced...something last year in a 4th line role, ok, but looking at his non power play production reveals a stark Matt Moulson towards the end comparison, as does watching him trying to get his legs moving up ice.
That aside, the total abomination that is Scandella and Sobotka means there is no reason they should be seeing the ice as anything more than the 7th D or extra forward, if that. |

If you would be it would be IP based, which means a browser with a VPN should be all you need, Opera is good I've heard, and they allow unlimited bandwidth over VPN.
