I like how people keep flying in here saying "everyone is fixated on the 4th line" and then go on about the "4th line" for paragraphs.

We're "fixated" on our sub-par roster and all of you drinking the pegoolaid are too dense to see past interpreting it as us actually complaining about the 4th line, which we CLEARLUY are not and you lot just keep saying "OUR 4th LINE IS NOT THE PROBLEM DERP".

Seriously. Stop and think, actually THINK for a few minutes before hitting that submit button, or better yet, actually READ what people are saying.

Two months ago jcragcrumple and I were the only downers on this board. Good to see so many faces joining the dark side.

Personally, the frustration comes from feeling they will be very bad, but also feeling that one or two moves would have had them potentially being really quite good. One more scoring wing for the top six, or a 2C. One or two new faces on the fourth line to actually provide some toughness, which could have been had for the price of resigning guys who weren't tough. I'm just sick of watching an organization that for the last 20 years has always been one or two moves short of competent.

We were a scoring forward away from a cup in 99.

No one wants to rehash the ineptitude that lead to losing Drury and Briere and denying us multiple chances at competing for the cup. Trying to save a million bucks and losing everything.

But forget those examples. Even last year, after the ten game win streak, everyone was saying we can't sustain this, let's see a big trade to bolster this team and be actually great. No trade. Then the slide. Everyone said fire the coach and save the season. But no, he got to tank us just to be fired later. The entire season was wasted because we just couldn't react and make that one move to stay competitive.

Again this year, I feel we are one decent trade away from being actually good. But Damn if we won't just all watch this in slow motion again for six months.

I think from a money standpoint we need to see if Reinhart can drive a line. This is the year to figure it out. He’s going to make $8 mill on the next deal so this is the best year to test him.
