But I think most would agree he outplayed Okposo. Probably an overwhelming majority of the people who watched the games would say that. That's why I believe they decided beforehand. I dont think it was possible for Tage to make it over Okposo - jcragcrumple
Looking at the current group of forwards, with 1 waiver exempt player, it's hard to disagree. |

Did I miss the big trade season that I was told back in July that was going to happen in September?
I still see the same old tired coach killers on the team, Lol.
I guess we will see them in October
or November
Or December

I brought it up bc of how much crap i got saying that Allen “wasn’t ready” and it would be better for him not to start early on last year
But it even equates (not directly) to everyone b!tching about the kids not playing here yet
It’s ok- even smart- to develop the kids slowly & before putting them in roles they aren’t ready for
Even if that means playing Sobatka (who i also hate)
Long term success >>>>>>>> fans’ impatience - jdfitz77
If only the bills front office was as smart as you....

Seriously, this season is going to be quite entertaining on here, and it started already.
Some are in mid-season form, others just warming up.
It is a mid-80's point team realistically, up against the Cap.
Only options are money in/money out transactions.
Best path is to maximize the trade value of the UFA's, while developing the Core and those circling it.
Playoffs are a pipe dream this season, like it or not.
I expect them to finish between 21st - 25th.

I think we are a bottom 5 team for October and November, December start to look better and more consistent, January pick up steam. Between the ASG and TDL, Ristolainen is gone, gone, gone and we make an epic run to 9th, reminding the Buffalo faithful of those wonderful years after Briere and Drury left. Win 2, lose 1 and be a bubble team. Sounds like a recipe for Hockey Heaven. |

I didn't, I apologize... I've had a lot of personal stuff going on, all joking aside and after you mentioned it, it completely slipped my mind. |

Probably.
My hope is that Krueger actually gives 2nd line minutes to Mojo and Skinner, and they produce commensurately with that ice time. Mojo needs to be a real 2C
And Dahlin takes a nice step toward being the swedish stud he will be.
I still think the goalies are better than what people have said.
If those things come together, the team could over-perform.
And obviously get Sobotka off L2 |

Nah. They were pretty good players that other GM’s handed to them.
They were gifted a 4 line team with a good goalie.
And I think Gallant is excellent coach. - OneKaneOneCup
"Pretty good" with no real 1C or 1D. He had a team of a couple of good players and a bunch of 3rd liners/2nd pairing D. Their leading scorer had 59 points last year for Christ's sake, and he led in both goals and assists. Now they have an elite talent, but they went to a Cup Final their first year and were d¡cked out of another one last year. |

If he swaps Sobotka with Erod I wouldn't hate the forward group.

Based on Kruger’s comments today I think he believes so also.
Reading between the lines, many of the comments made by Kruger, Botterill, the players, and even rob ray during the games are very negative regarding “the old system” and “the room last year”
I’ll admit that I was very excited for the Housley hiring it became pretty clear that he has absolutely no hold on that room last year.
My guess is Botterill kept moving forward with the original plan to have as many contracts coming off the books next year as possible and will see how players perform without Housley to make any drastic moves unless someone really overpays for one of our players. |

The RWs are so weak. Erod shouldn't be in the top-6, but obviously Sobotka shouldn't either. They'll have to overcome that. There's a serious lack of fire power on the right side |

Maybe swap Sheary with Erod for maximum effectiveness with what we currently have. |

The comment about Hutton being an "alpha animal" was funny. Krueger is cut from a different cloth than Disco and Housley, that's for sure |

Interested to see how Ralph handles it. Sobotka and Girgs played more RW than Sheary and ERod last year, and looked much more comfortable playing there. For that alone, I thought Tage would still be here.

Everyone is very fixated on the 4th line. If they play well defensively and don’t hurt us then they are doing their job. I hope Scandella is the 7th but I’m not going to get worked up either way. Let a week of the season play out. Everyone’s dream lineup of TT, Asplund and Lazar could be out there and we might start 0-4. Judge the team on wins and losses. That’s it.
One repeated complaint is that they didn’t take the best players from preseason. But remember that they judge more about a player away from the puck. That is an area TT has to work on. He’ll be a Sabre by Nov 1. Too much emphasis goes into the Oct 3 lineup. |

I like how people keep flying in here saying "everyone is fixated on the 4th line" and then go on about the "4th line" for paragraphs.
We're "fixated" on our sub-par roster and all of you drinking the pegoolaid are too dense to see past interpreting it as us actually complaining about the 4th line, which we CLEARLUY are not and you lot just keep saying "OUR 4th LINE IS NOT THE PROBLEM DERP".
Seriously. Stop and think, actually THINK for a few minutes before hitting that submit button, or better yet, actually READ what people are saying. |
