Typical for a pats game. it’s a given, it happens every game we play them.
- gordong

Today was really bad with the non-calls on IG, they got one at least, but still there were a lot of others that were not to the LoS or anywhere near a Pats player.

The Patriots very much do things that are a bit over the line on the rules so much that they challenge the officials to flag every single occurrence, and as most officials won't do that, you have things like the intentional grounding today.

Well, 3 interceptions, a fumble, missed FG, and a blocked kick returned for a TD.
If they didn't shoot themselves in the foot

Scratch, make that 4 interceptions

6 series should have brought them what 6, 10, 13, 14, 17, 2, 24 points?

- IonSabres

Plus the douchebag referee obviously Gave ne their calls:

1. Didn’t reverse the int that was out of bounds
2. Picked up the flag on the Gilmour facemask:interference call in the first half
3. Missed the face mask on josh allen in the next drive though it was 5 yards away
4. Came up with a phantom holding call on Dawkins 5 mins after the cheap hit on allen to offset the. First down.
5. Missed the Brady intentional grounding late in the game, plus there’s other stuff I missed.

D was great, special teams and O sucked. Dawkins was benched, I have no use for Zay jones, Smith a 9 year veteran had 4 stupid penalties, one hold killed a drive.

Allen was bad, but he’ll learn and he’s MY QB. Sabretooth I like how you jump on him for everything but disappear when he’s good. Stick to hockey, maybe you understand that better, maybe not.

All the mistakes today and we lost by 6 points, the gap is closing

Besides 1 drive, Allen was terrible today
He’s got such a long ways to go still before he meets expectations

And Tj Yeldon SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS

For all their faults, I think that was a good non-call, his hand just wiped across, never got a hold of it.

224 yards and 9 points for the Pats offense is a heroic defensive effort.

Yeldon was very good today. He didn’t rush the ball at all today but was very catching out of the backfield so not sure why you think he sucks. On the last O play he even picked up the blitzing lb and the RT (nscke or whatever his name is) decided to double team the guy and leave the DE unblocked.

There was a lot of wrong with our O Yeldon wasn’t in the top 15 problems

Yep on the d, but even if it just brushes his facemask it’s an automatic facemask call. That head lineman was bad BUT we throw 4 ints and fumble a couple of times, get a punt blocked and we still only lose by 6. Crazy. People think edmunds sucks around here but he had a monster game today as did Milano and Wallace. I still haven’t noticed Murphy at all this year??

Sorry sir, Yeldon blows
I just don’t feel like arguing it back & forth
So I’m gonna leave it at that

Allen has been doing the same thing he did today but got away with it vs bad teams.

The patriots made him play QB and he failed miserably.

Is it? I thought you had to grab it.

Murphy barely plays, he had one nice play late where I heard his name, but I couldn't tell you what he did.

cant touch a QBs head - it's literally a penalty that didnt get called.

How many 2nd & 3rd round picks are playing within 2-3years of being drafted?
VERY FEW

In the AHL?

A decent amount. Botts has spent 2nds and 3rds. You can agree with his strategy, but that's a fact

But apparently a Helmut to Helmut hit is completely ok.
The league's officials suck ass...not one holding call on Pat's today.
Unreal.

No, not really

U want us to be better NOW, but don’t like that Botts spent picks to try & make us competitive more quickly
MAKE UP YOUR MIND

Instead of waiting 5 years or so to figure out that a very high percentage of these 2nd & 3rd round picks would either not make the nhl at all, or just be depth players

Meanwhile...
he’s also built up a really nice amount of depth & talent at Center & Defense
And in that regard,
he IS building this team correctly

I want people to admit he's middled the rebuild. His "patience" is a lie. He's wasted assets.

He's spent assets, and yet still hasn't committed to winning this year

Some great takes here. I'll take 3-1 with a close loss to the Pats at home. Someone else mentioned it earlier this week, but this Bills team reminds me of the 05-06 Sabres. Pats are like Ottawa who owned us (and the rest of the league) all year until we beat them in the playoffs.

Why didn't the dude who it Allen in the head get tossed from the game? Burfict did the same thing in the Raiders-Colts game and got tossed. I thought the officials were bad on both sides, but favored the Pats per usual.

Incredible game by the D made Brady look pedestrian. It was there for the taking and we couldn't capitalize. I like where this team is going this season.

Dropping a TD pass where he didn’t have to jump, could’ve extended his arms & caught the ball like he’s supposed to & the DB wouldn’t have been able to knock it away
But sure...
why would i expect a pass catching RB to know how to catch?

And he made various other mistakes, like he always does
And he sucks running the ball, so the defense knows it’s a pass
And he’s not a good blocker, Gore should’ve been in

And catching a wide open pass, turning around & falling forward for a couple years doesn’t NOT institute a “very good game”
He blows

Now, I’m done with this convo for real
If u actually think he’s good,
then u don’t know much about football & I’m not wasting any more time on this mediocre player that we should’ve never signed

He got the best players he could for assets that likely wouldn’t have helped us much 5 years from now, if ever

Fact:
One 3rd for Vesey
2nd & 5th for Miller
2nd, 3rd and ECHL legend Pu for Skinner
4th for Sheary and Hunwick
3rd for 4th in Ennis/Pommer Foligno/Scandella trade
3rd for Blowboy

Only the last one of the above I have an issue with.
The 1st three are, in order; good, very good, and excellent.
4th for a 3rd line winger...good again.

You are reaching too far from you frustration.

Yeah, trading a 3rd for Beaulieu and a 3rd and ennis and Foligno for a 4th, pominville and Scandella was all about the future. Wilson for a 5th was for the future.

But you want it both ways. You want to talk about the 10 UFAs, and you want to to talk about how he only spent a 3rd for Vesey.

I believe you have been one of the posters talking about the "Botterill 10" UFAs, and how we cant compete until they're gone.

No mention that he spent assets to bring them in, or the ones he didn't, he extended

His defenders want it both ways:

He didn't squander assets, but if he did, he had to

And if he didn't do enough, he couldn't possibly have done more

No, it wasn’t for the future
NO ONE IS SAYING THAT

Those moves were for the impatient like yourself,
to try & get us competitive as quick as possible
Can u really not see that???

Those supposed “wasted assets” wouldn’t have helped us by now anyways...
so you’d still be upset that we haven’t met your timeline to be good

And they also would’ve very likely never helped

Tell me how those spent assets are helping us NOW
Bc you’ve been on here nonstop for months saying that 3 drafts is long enough to build a team,
and using these “wasted assets” as your argument

If Gilmour doesn't grab the facemask then it should be called illegal hands to the face. Yeldon played well today, but go a head and think that yours is the only opinion that counts.
Botterill did bring in players to make the team better this year, while still being able to let his younger players continue their development, Vesey, Johansson, Miller make us better, next year we have a good amount of players becoming UFA's, mostly players nobody likes anyway. Next year there might be spot for Borgen, Asplund, Smith, Cozens, Jokiharu
