Ralph Krueger said Mittelstadt is "moving in the right direction. Added this: "Casey has definitely made a strong case for himself [to make the team] and is an exciting part of the future of the franchise, we know that."

Lazar scored 14goals last year?
I missed that

Hell...
he hasn’t even done that in his entire career

- jdfitz77

Half of his points on the power play. Took 17 minor penalties. He's done. Cooked. Maybe you haven't watched the past two years or this preseason

Interesting... the “made a strong case” quote is intriguing

Can’t wait for him to be sent down so we don’t risk waiving Scott Wilson

Can you imagine.

The center depth is too thin to get rid of him.

We will just convert another winger. Or move Erod back.

Im mentally prepared for every incorrect decision to be made

You don't enjoy the appeal of Erod (for you Broads as I saw your tweet about him), Asplund, Larsson as the 2 - 3 - 4 behind Eichel? 😅😂

Are you of the belief that PP points don’t count?
We need ppl who can contribute on PP2,
Don’t we?

Or does “spunk” win you hockey games?

Is Okposo good?
No, that’s not what I’m saying
But he is useful to a degree
The hate on him has gone too far

And nonsense like replacing him with a bust who can’t score at all... isn’t gonna help us 5v5 either

I truly like him as a utility guy.

I’ve just never seen someone who’s allowed to go 20+ games with no goals and get absolutely no criticism like him

Sabres Center depth chart is in great shape imo

No, not this season
But moving forward Botts has done a great job building up talent at the most important forward position

You’re correct
I have not watched much of the preseason

But are u really basing your argument on an extremely small sample size of split squad games?

I’d like him gone too, but we are stuck with him
And yes... I’d love to see MORE from him
But acting like he doesn’t contribute at all is just plain incorrect

And again, since u didn’t answer the 1st time...
Don’t we want guys that can produce on PP2?

As much as you’ve been a total jerk,
I’d still meet up for a beer to squash things

I'm basing my argument on having seen Okposo on the Sabres for years. And Lazar brings more to the table at a cap savings

But please, tell me more about how we should accept being stuck with him

Oh no, the player is definitely worse as well.

He's horrible offensively by advanced stats and I'd argue his very slight worth defensively has more to do with playing with Larsson than himself.

Spunk doesn’t win games
& 300k savings is fairly insignificant

Lazar has 1 PP goal in his ENTIRE CAREER
He brings “more to the table” how exactly?
Lazar doesn’t score at even strength or on the PP

And if Botts could’ve moved Okposo,
then I’m sure he would’ve
He didn’t sign Okposo dude

Yeah, no, the production at even strength, the ability to penalty kill and the positional versatility begs to differ

Bad hill to die on, Fitz

Tell me about Lazar’s advanced stats in the whole ONE game in the NHL he played last year please

I am not arguing Okposo is good
But he does produce some
VS a player who produces basically nothing
